You can only be initialised for Reiki by a certified Reiki master. They will teach you.

you must be attuned to reiki by a reiki master. If you do a local search in your area, reiki masters are actually quite common. :) I love reiki and all that it has done in my life. I am a reiki level 2 practitioner and am observing attunements for my master/teacher certificate.
