Healing ritual or chant for an animal

A family members' dog is having some kidney issues at the moment, and the vets won't know how severe the issues are until the tests come back. I was wondering if someone had any rituals or chants to help ease the dog's pain regardless of our next course of action, or if it really is her time to move on.
Are there any specific deities to direct this chant/ritual to, or would it be a general request?
