That is very interesting, and good to know. I was honestly thinking about if you could eat it or not for them... Like, leaving it up for them then taking it for yourself, kind of to share it with them. So this did help a lot, thank you very much! (:

One way of doing this I have found is that you cut your portion in half. You can keep them on the same plate (food) but with liquids you would need another cup. You would then bless them both. Once they have been blessed you can eat your portion. While you eat or drink the portion for you mindfully the Gods will take in the essence of the other offering. You can then take in the other part with their essence and blessing.

I actually just bought at a rummage sale, this GORGEOUS glass/crystal chalice. It's beautiful. I had full intent of using it for altar work. (: Right now, it's holding an offering until I can get something else for that. I have an offering place for the fey, but I'll need one for Loki as well now.

I'll keep that in mind, thanks!

Okay, I honestly didn't follow any of that last paragraph. Haha, I apologize, but I got the first part.
No need to apologize Sakura. I believe very soon... you will

My primary way of talking to the Lord and Lady is by praying as most are taught to: head bowed, eyes closed, hands folded. A lot of the time though, I just talk to Them in my head. They hear from me often when I'm washing the dishes, and I haven't figured out how to do that with my eyes closed. I don't do rituals very often, but there are certain times that I'll stop to talk to Them, so I think They just expect that from me.
I like to leave offerings outside at the foot of a tree. I feel that if I leave things outside, both the Lord and lady take from my offering, as well as anything in nature that could use either the physical offering or it's essence take from it as well. However, when it's very cold outside, I'll tell Them my intention, then consume the offering myself.

Okay, that's good to know! And it's also good to know I'm not the only one who doesn't do the rituals often. Haha. I try to talk to Him in my head as well as sitting at the altar. I've started doing it nightly and so I think he expects it from me too. He shows me things in my dreams and then I research it the next day. (:

It's nice to see others ways of doing things, it'll help me figure out how to do it myself.
