Sign or Coincidence?

So I have been stressing out lately because I have been dating. I am Bi and after my last date with a guy I realized I think I would just rather date a woman right now since its easier for me to get close to them (kind of important for a growing relationship). Anyway, I ended up planning a date with this guy who is nice and all BUT is a lot older than I am and would cause a lot of family issues I think. I was supposed to have the date today, so last night I prayed to 4 different goddesses (My main goddess Durga being 1st) to give me a sign possibly in a dream form. I have 2 dreams I remember. The 1st ended up like some weird, psycho, modern version of beauty and the beast without the falling in love part (Not sure what exactly that might be telling me). The 2nd is the one I am paying most attention to. I was some kind of spy (Not that that matters much) and I was dancing around with the enemies to some weird songs, but then this slow song came on and I went up to a girl with long black hair that I new I liked and we started to slow dance. I ended up resting my head on her shoulder (apparently she was working as a spy on my side as well). I liked that dream a lot when I woke up. So today the guy wrote me and can't go on the date because he just got sick this morning........ So what do you say? A sign? Meanings? Coincidence?

It sounds like you're more comfortable with women, and really doubting the pending date with the older guy. Follow your gut instinct. Your safety is more important than his feelings.

If you doubt a situation that much that you pray for signs and guidance then I'd say it is not something to pursue, something in your mind and heart are telling you it's not what you want. I agree with Snowcat, maybe its best you try dating women for a while if that makes you more comfortable. I know how it can be, I'm pansexual but gravitate more towards the female though I've dated men, transgenders, drag queens, etc. It's tough finding the right person to spend though intimate hours of your day with and that you click well friendship-wise as well

Thanks you guys. I just don't want to hurt anybody. It's funny because when I first met him I wanted him to ask me out but I never thought he would. I can never tell what I truly want.

Yes it is really hard to find anyone that just makes you want to be around them all the time and be close to them. I have only actually had a couple crushes in my life. Women are soooooo hard to find around here haha. Just trying to find someone I find attractive who I think might have a sweet personality who wants to go out with me is difficult. I have only ever been on a date with one girl.

Anyway. Thanks for the advice. It' has been stressing me out. Haha.

Just because girls are more avaliable to you it doesn't mean you will have better time with them. For instance, I am a guy, and lots of guys are more avaliable for me, at any point of life, because we understand each other better. Yet, that doesn't mean I would live better life with one of them. Just to clear, I love women but in some sort, I do like men as well, but it's hard to explain to myself.

Girls aren't more available to me. I was saying that I can get closer to a female as in feel more comfortable around them and physically touching them (hugging, cuddling, kissing). Even with something as simple as a hug it can take me forever until I feel comfortable hugging a guy. It isn't that I like females because I think they can understand me better because I feel that that depends on the individual not the gender. But all of that set aside I will allow myself to fall in love with whomever I fall in love with despite gender.

I'm totally heterosexual, but sometimes even have trouble feeling comfortable with my husband touching me. My ex-husband was serially abusive, and the end result was PTSD. If I wanted to go the female route, I probably could. That has zero appeal for me. Wolf-Tigress is saying that she feels more comfortable going that route, not that it's more convenient. Everyone has the right and the need to feel comfortable in their sexual experiences.

I am sorry for miss understanding you. What you are saying is that you like physical contact with female more than with man. That's fine too. Do whatever makes you happy. NEVER, but NEVER care what others talk about you. They talk because of ignorance. They judge because of not understanding
