I'm new with Wicca as I said in my last post and have some more questions.
1) I am doing only a goddess, I was wondering if we can give a name to her? I was thinking Ra, like the Egyptian god.
2) I have an alter that I just put together. While it isn't complete (still need a candle and things to make look pretty). I have found a box with a lid I can store everything in when I am not using the alter (will post in alter subforum when it is done). I read in the alter subforum that you could use a deck of cards. So that got me interested as I have no money right now. I didn't have actual playing cards so I thought of using Magic the gathering cards I had. I managed to get the 5 elements but had to use a YuGiOh card for the goddess. Is this ok to do?

Re: Goddess question
Welcome to the boards, I hope we can help you answer
some of your questions...

I think the Goddesses prefer their own names, kind of
like a respect thing...

Re: Goddess question
Ok. I looked up names and found one that caught my eye. Amaterasu. Is this an acceptable name? The website I got it from was Wicca spirituality

Re: Goddess question
The deities usually reveal their names to us when they're ready. Just relax and let things happen.

I'm new here too. And I'm confused... Do wiccas have any deity from any religion they choose or how is that? o_O
