Are you able to see ghost in dreams?

Postby Binglian » Sat May 16, 2015 10:02 pm

I know this might sound stupid, but many times in my dreams, I would dream of seeing a shadow or some apparitions flow by, just as in real life. It was really realistic, and most of it would occur in my own room. I even would feel people touching me or hear people call my names, but unable to see them. One time, I dream that I was standing outside of my house, watching full moon, and could feel someone hugging me from behind. But I couldn't see him! I try really hard because it is so realistic, and I know I was dreaming, and I could actually see a pair of transparent hands hugging me! Then I don't remember anything.

Even when I actually have an out of body experience (this is a another story), but when I open my eyes, I can only see a pair of hands, but nothing more!

I always believe that when you dream or having an out of body experience, you would have the ability to see entities. People I know who have an out of body experience would always see ghost or other stuff. So why would I still unable to see them? Do they actually have the ability to hide even when you are asleep?

My dad passed away in 2010, in a tragic way. I was very close with him. He was my best bud.
I have many stories about my spiritual experiences with my Daddy, but to keep this post short, I will tell you yes....I've been visited by my dear father many times in dreams. He even met me in meditation once. He's shown me where he is now, and even what it was like to be living with Alzheimers, through his eyes.

Of course, there are many other visitors that I've had in dreams : my best friends grandmother, strangers with a message...but nothing compares to getting to be with my Dad again. He also visits when I'm awake. I've seen him checking on my vitals after I had a hysterectomy at 30 years old, last July. He was a surgical technician during WW2 and The Korean War. I guess it's in his nature and he was checking on his little girl.

I find that when he has visited me in dreams, there's a big reason for it. Maybe I will understand better while I'm asleep and open completely. And I do remember all details.

I believe they can appear to us in many ways...perhaps there is an entity not ready to show itself in its true from, because your not ready to see it full yet. Maybe unconsciously, you've created a block of some kind. I'm no expert, but I'm gifted, and been seeing spirits since I was at least 4, my daughter and son are gifted. I can choose to see what I want, or block them out. I have to or I would go crazy and no sleep!

If you really want to see who it is or what it is, maybe meditate on it and try to open yourself. Go into your dreams thinking that you will except whatever is trying to present itself. If it's trying to hug you...maybe its someone that loves you. Be guarded, but open, if you feel good vibes during your dreams.

Thank you Bluejay for sharing your experiences, and I am sorry about your dad. I guess spirits could take on many forms, and many spirits just doesn't want me to see them. I used to dream of my grandfather many times, with very clear image. But I have hard time dreaming about my grandmother, even though I know her better. Her form is often scattered, and she also often appeared as a little girl, which I find rather strange. I am thinking that maybe my grandma appeared in this form for a reason, but I don't understand it yet.

I also believe that maybe I am unconsciously blocking the spirits. I notice that during certain period of time, I can dream them without any problems. But sometimes, I have trouble dreaming them for a long period of time. I still didn't find any reasons for it yet, but I do believe that maybe it's due to my subconscious.

Would anxiety or depression be part of the reason? I guess I should start mediating.

Oh yes....I know when I have been depressed or really down in the dumps in the past, it seemed like any activity I had surrounding me or I my home, actually stopped. It wasn't until I made peace with whatever was bringing me down and letting go of the negativity that the spiritual activity actual started again.

As for your grandmother appearing as a child...there may be a reason! My father appeared to me once as a child. He was hurt and I couldn't help him, all I could do was hold him in my arms. I think it had to do with the fact that when he had Alzheimers, towards the end if his life, it was very much like he was a child. I've always felt guilty for not taking him in and taking care if him. But I think he was showing me that even if I took him in, there wasn't much I could do for him at that point. I think he was showing me that he loved me no matter what state he was in, even if I couldn't do anything to help him.

Start keeping a dream journal. As soon as you wake up, write down what you see, who visits you. Maybe you will see a bigger picture, eventually or if a loved one is trying to visit, they will see you are becoming comfortable. Meditation never hurts either!

Quite often I see my grandparents and uncle in my dreams. All 3 of them passed away (gf in 1996, uncle in 1996, gm in 2011); they come in their own way. I have my own signs how to tell them apart.

Hi Bluejay, my grandma maybe is trying to tell me something! I guess she was really weak when she was alive, so maybe a crying for help to show me how she was so powerless when she was alive.

A dream journal would be useful, but I often forgot to record them.

Hi Tanya.Yer, would you mind elaborate on how do you tell them apart. Do they usually show you signs, or do you have to use your own knowledge to distinguish them?
