My very first permanent altar :)

Postby YanaKhan » Wed May 14, 2014 5:39 am

Hey everyone. So I have been setting up altars whenever I needed one, but wanted to have a permanent one. And considering my husband is not really aware of all my practices, I had to be quite creative and add only the things he knows about on the altar.
So here it is: On the left is my box with my Tarot cards (which my husband knows about). This is not the box I picked up lately, but very similar to it. My altar candles are something I will be keeping in my drawer, but everything else can stay there. I am actually very very excited about this. The only thing left to find is Ganesha statuette to make everything absolutely perfect.

Thank you, Holda and Echo! It's such a big deal for me :) Almost like I am out of the broom closet (which is not actually the case as I have never been IN the closet to begin with, kinda complicated :D ).

Very beautiful I love the colors.

I have found really good and inexpensive statues of Ganesh at local Indian grocers. Check and see if you have any in your area.

Thank you, everyone. The painting in the back is a wedding gift from a friend who is an artist and I absolutely adore it as it brings homey vibes. As of the Indian store, there isn't one here, but in 2 weeks I'll be going to my hometown and there is a fantastic Indian shop there. And a souvenir shop where I can buy some stones and maybe even wooden chips to make some talismans. They will go on the shiny stand in the middle. :)
The candle holders are a present from my mother - in - law and I do love those too. They are silver - plated and engraved with some animal and flower motives.
And thanks again :)

I am SO IN LOVE with the color scheme! It's so happy and peppy and bright! It's just wonderful. It looks beautiful, good job!

P.S. I just realized your walls are the same color as my room! Good taste. ;D Haha!

I almost forgot about this thread, haha.
So, I'm home alone tonight and here's a picture of my scrying setup.
P.S Thanks, Sakura, I love the color too - it's homey and cozy :)

Congrats on your permanent altar! It's a nice milestone for those of us who are in the witch-closet.
