Hi there, I've been looking for a good forum to join for a while now, and after lurking around this one for about a week, I decided to join. I'm a solitary witch and am "in the broom closet" and probably will remain there. I'm a 28yr old female located just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S. I was raised Catholic with 12 years of catholic school, but I've always felt I didn't belong. A few years ago, I started to look into witchcraft. It actually happened on accident, but the more I read, the more it drew me in. I've always been into "witchy" things from my early childhood and I've always felt that I had some sort a "magic" powers. Well, psychic abilities is more like it! I've always been in tuned with "spirits" shall we say. I hear voices and sounds that nobody else can, see white and blue orbs all the time in my room at night, I sometimes have this uncanny knack that I know what people are going to say, word for word, before they say it. Way back in elementary school, I finished a friend's thought for her and she looked at me like I was insane. Since then, I have kept that ability to myself.

I guess I should tell you a little more about interests, huh? My hobbies include crystals and gem stone collecting, crafting (would like to open up an etsy shop if I had space to put finished products until sold), up cycling, "potion" bottle collecting, nature, animals, aquariums (specifically bettas, a.k.a Siamese fighting fish), and photography. Still a complete novice when it comes to photography, but I love it and hope to open my own pet photography business one day.

A little about my witchy side now. I love crystal working and divination. My favorite crystals are clear quartz, amethyst, selenite, fluorite, agate, citrine, and aventurine to name a few. As far a divination goes, I started with pendulums and have an amethyst one I carry everywhere. I finally obtained a large 6 inch (about 152mm) clear quartz crystal ball last September for my birthday. I'm just starting to learn tarot, just finished making a divination mirror and will soon be making rune stones out of clear quartz. I have also discovered I have 7 spirit animals, and received my familiar last Samhain, (but that's another story)! My familiar is actually curled up taking a nap on my foot as I type this. Yes, he's a cat. Oh, and his favorite crystal is amethyst.

I have lots of questions and (good) experiences I'd like to share, and this seems like a good place to vent. I have nobody I can talk to around here and hope to make some friends on EUTM.

Nope. I don't have the money or space for specialties. I get all mine from my local fish stores. Too pricey and risky to buy online.

For your avatar, if I recall I had to edit my photo to no more than 100 x 100 pixels (or was it 200 x 200?). I doubt it is a device issue so much as a photo size issue. Hope that helps a little.
