Greetings from a Wanderer (seeker)

Postby Wanderer022 » Fri Feb 19, 2016 3:26 pm

Hello everyone :) my name is Leanne, I'm 22 female, and I actually live in South Africa. I really enjoy drawing, reading, walking in nature, talking to my cats (and on this forum I don't feel weird for admitting that!) And just spending time outside in general.

I'm not sure under what branch of wicca/paganism I fall. I feel more inclined to celebrate esbats than sabbats. I also feel more inclined to worship a Goddess rather than a God, and I feel more connected to the night and moon than the day and sun. I worship in my own way, in general I just sit and meditate, or spend time with the Goddess. I talk to Her too. For lack of a better description, I can "feel" Her when I'm outside, so I find it incredibly easy to talk to Her. When I celebrate esbats, I set up an altar in Her honor, which represents Her and the elements. Since I have to be subtle, my celebrations include telling Her what I'm celebrating, and then drinking some wine and eating a sweet treat. I leave some wine for Her as an offering.

Simple I know. But drinking wine for me is a celebration, because I drink it on no other occasion. Oh and I don't practice magick.

Perhaps some can tell me what I am? A Pagan or a wiccan? Haha. Otherwise I'll accept that I'm a Wanderer, or a seeker...

Sorry for the very long and boring introduction. I like writing too. :D

Welcome. There's nothing wrong with being a wanderer or seeker. Putting yourself under someone else's umbrella term isn't necessary. Just be who you are.

Thank you Snow! I'm happy to know I've found a forum full of people that will accept me as I am, and not try to put me into a box of their choosing. :D Blessings to you

Welcome! You sound like an eclectic pagan. That's a very broad category! Glad to meet you.
