Grimore and energy ?

I started becoming interested in paganism when I was about 17 years old and I made my own grimoire which has a very interesting energy attached to it because at the time, I was going through a lot of things. It features a lot of my dreams , supernatural experiences, etc. but the book has a very heavy energy hatched to it. I contemplated smudging it , however, I'm not sure if it would be wise to smudge the book as it has my own energy attached to it, albeit, it might be slightly negative because of what I was going through at the time but I would like to hold the book and try to feel what it is. It is VERY strong, whatever it is, and it feels deathy like or Pluto like. What do you guys think about this?

I'd smudge it. Yes, it's a record of a difficult time in your life, but it's part of your story, and it will tell your story and remain authentic to you and what it is.....ditching the awful energy, and visualizing healing, is a healthy thing to do. Maybe send your 17 year old self a little love and tell her it won't always be so dark?

I agree with becks. You don't have to snuff it out but you can quell the negativity.
