Merry Meet !

My name is Chrysanthe and it is a pleasure to be amongst members of my own community. While I am a new member of this forum I have been lurking around for a bit. I have nodded silently in agreement to so many of your concerns and have felt a connection with many of your issues and questions.

I like to consider myself a seeker following the path of the green witch. Growing up many of the natural skills and abilities I possessed as a child were frowned upon and so I “learned” that living a magical life was wrong (at least in the eyes of the ignorant) which caused me to abandon my quest for understanding.

I turned my back on my gifts back then. And because I failed to learn how to use my gifts in a positive manner I lived a life full of hardship and strife until I accepted that what I had been taught as wrong was the key to my living a happy life. People shun that which they do not understand. Closed minds cannot receive all of the richness and fullness of life because they limit themselves unnecessarily. The only limits we have are the ones we place on ourselves.

I have dedicated myself to learning and growing in the Craft to learn to harness the energy and potential, that is within each of us, to carve out a better life for myself and for those who come along after.

I said all of that to say this, be true to who and also what you are. No one has the power to make you do, say or feel anything unless you let them. Learn all that you can about the path you have be called to walk. A day that does not take you closer towards the Divine (whatever that may be for you) is a day that you have wasted.

Nice to meet you as well Bychan Wulf and thank you for the response. There is already enough oppression and negativity in the world and I feel that people need to "take" themselves back. So much of how I felt was because of the imprints others left on me. I want all pagans to be proud of their convictions and beliefs. There are plenty of people in the world that want to be mean for whatever reason but we don't have to be mean to ourselves.
