What books do you recommend or are your favorites about learning or even just appreciating the Tarot in a historical context.

I have quite a few but my favourite is still the full companion guide to the Druidcraft Tarot, my first and best tarot tutor . My second fav is another companion guide actually; Phantasmagoria, which comes with the Tarot of Vampyres. Both of these are well worth the price of the sets, even if you never unwrap the decks!
