YanaKhan's gazillion projects :)
Re: YanaKhan's gazillion projects :)
That's beautiful, well done. How did you do that? Is the wire one of the threads and over the bracelet in the middle? or is the wire all the threads?
Re: YanaKhan's gazillion projects :)
Thank you!
It's all wire, I used quite thin one, still a lot harder to work with than cord

So the middle beads are on the wire?
Re: YanaKhan's gazillion projects :)
Yes, they are on a wire, but I made the hollow braid first and then put them on a separate wire and inside the braid (I don't know if I'm making any sense, I put the link to a video tutorial in which you can see. I'm also sorry about the quality of the pics, my phone doesn't have the best camera. )
Re: YanaKhan's gazillion projects :)
I haven't posted anything here in ages. So here we go. As you know, I knit a little, so I decided to make my husband a birthday present instead of buying one. And once I finished it, my daughter said she wants the same. And here, let me present Yana's fingerless mittens

Yep, I haven't posted in a long time here. Well, this doesn't mean I don't have new projects, I just forget to post them.
Here's the latest of my creations - a wire ring, done on a Kumihimo square. I used 0.8 mm aluminium wire, which is quite easy to work with and a standard technique - there are tons of videos on youtube. Also, I could have used a thicker or thinner wire, but I like the effect I got - I like large rings with no stones for some reason. Once I get the time, I'll make another one, probably with beads on the sides.

Beauty lies in simplicity. I absolutely love it!
Too bad it's hard to find simple things nowadays...

Re: YanaKhan's gazillion projects :)
Thank you, my dear. I too like simple things. There is a youtube channel I adore - CSL designs, the lady there is amazing and shares all kinds of beautiful things. Besides, the way she explains how to do them is incredible - I almost always get the result I would like.

Why don't we have a like or love button? I would use that for most of your posts lol! Anyway, great handwork!

Wow, Yana, so cute. Admire your skill and mainly patience that is needed in arts and crafts

Re: YanaKhan's gazillion projects :)
Thank you, guys, although it's not nearly as good as it could be, but I do like the little imperfections too - they say "hand made".

Hey, guys,
I recently decided to go back to wire wrapping and made several things. Here are some samples:
