This world is empty now.
I seek a friendly face.
No one lives here now.
I find no trace.
I search without
and I look within.
I hear no one's shout
to tell what might have been.
I've come so far,
There's no one here.
When were their happy times?
Did they die in fear?

I came to learn,
perhaps to teach.
They're knowledge now ,
Lies just out of reach.

Those who made this place,
they do not remain.
They've all gone,
My journey all in vain.
The requiem was never sung.
No eulogy was read.
No funeral bell was ever rung,
In memory of the dead.
I came for nothing.
I'd no need to roam.
There's no peasant and no king,
the lights are on, nobody's home.

They all mention Orange.
This has not been true for a long, long time,
just go take a trip to Stonehenge.

When all the laughter has died in sorrow,
and the tears have risen to a flood.
When all the wars have found a cause,
in inhuman wisdom and rivers of flowing bl00d.
Will we finally cry in sadness?
Do you think an eye will blink?
Will we finally curse the madness
or even stop and think?
When all the planets have sighed
to a frozen halt in space,
do you think they'll even be a vestige
of the beauty of the human race.
Will there be a sad sniffle?
Will any shed a cosmic tear?
Will some great galactic being
give a D@MN that we were here?
