Sage

Postby desifuega » Thu Feb 22, 2018 9:08 pm

Greetings!

I have a general question about Sage for the more experienced members. What does it mean when a large bundle of sage won't stop burning?

My sister and I had the same experience days apart and many thousands of miles apart. My dogs smell like sage. I mean that's how smokey it got. My bundles usually light up, smoke a bit and extinguish.

Any insight would be much appreciated.

Love & Light.

Did you leave it in the sun? It absorbs moisture pretty well (and by analogy absorbs energy fairly well), and if it dries out well it will burn longer.

Thanks for your response. Not to my knowledge. I bought it from a pagan shop here locally. Not sure if they left it out or wherever it came from. My sister grows her own sage.

Take a careful look at the bundle. Is there air space in the center? It might have been wrapped before it was fully dry, creating air spaces that would cause it to continue to burn.

It means you did not put it out thoroughly.
As stated above, check the wrapping and make sure it is a tight wrap. Otherwise getting "smoked" will be the outcome.
