Pink Agate

I was at the craft store, and some pink Agate strand caught my eye. I picked up the strand, and the energy running through it, were kinda, almost shocking. Needless to say, I brought them home.

Any ideas why this strand of gemstones would, "bite" me?

Pink stones are like "in the pink" energy, meaning good health.
They are a cross between red and white. Red... physical energy, base energy, life energy. And White...purity, inspiration, Spirit, new endeavors ...the inclusion of all colors. The bands in the stone could represent the binding or coming together of energies.
I always feel that if a stone reaches out to grab me, then it has something for me to learn or that it will lend support through the color it is representing.

In my experience, because agates are just plain awesome.
I've got great exp. with grey and black ones, perhaps I ought to try more colours too

The "pink Agate strands" you have experienced is a kind of rock or mineral that is made up of small crystals (having a crystalline structure). Depending on the method that created the "cryptocrystalline silica" (pink strands) they may exhibit a pyroelectric quality (generating an electrical charge in relation to the exposure in changes in temperature). Others may produce piezoelectric qualities (reacting to vibrations across the structure).

Which is really an amazing phenom that one must see to appreciate. I believe it to be the source of fairy-lite in some cases. In this video the guy has some pretty plain pieces of quartz, I have a set of clear quartz that I use to demonstrate this but it does ruin the stones to a degree when vigorously scraping them together,
