Killing a robin

Postby zenmaster93 » Thu Mar 19, 2020 7:20 am

I have heard that killing a robin brings a lifetime of bad luck. Does anyone know how to counter this?

Apply your critical thinking. Just because we’ve read something doesn’t mean it’s cosmic truth. Who was the author? What is their source of info? Was their interpretation of the source valid? Also take into account the motivation of the tragic event. Was it accidental like hitting a bird while driving a car?

One way to remove ill-luck is to take a shower with a salt scrub. Use the back of a spoon in a bowl to crush to powder 2 spoonfuls of table salt as finely as you can. Put a little salt powder on a wet wash cloth and softly rub moving from the top of the head down to the soles of both feet. Rinse well. The run off carries the bad luck down the drain forever.

An extra gesture might be to make an offering by feeding birds.

That tiny robin has taught you to respect living beings & to think of what is being sacrificed before making sport & pulling the trigger. Give a thanks offering for the sacrifice of the life force and do the salt scrub.

I think a Robin signifies fear/less-ness. No point killing it, eh, Batman?

Holy moly Li’l John.
Barker, you are a rascally tease
To think ‘n say wh’ever you please.
Aye, for you it is all one.
Apologies zenmaster93
I did not mean to ignore thee
Yon robin is a friendly sign
For Spring has come just in time.
