Summer Solstice 2022

Postby Firebird » Fri Jun 17, 2022 11:01 am

Looks like Litha is zooming right up upon us!
What does everyone have planned for their rituals???
Typically we do our rite the Sunday nearest the holiday which is fathers day quite often, this year some of the group wanted to celebrate dad's day so we moved it to the following weekend.
I will do a solitary observance on Tuesday, watch the sunrise...do some reflection and meditation, and craft a talisman to charge with the solar energy of the day, and I usually make some solar water with a crystal in the bottles.
Blessed upcoming point of greatest sun charge to you all!

I'm part of a lunar coven so as such, I don't and can't celebrate solar deities/religions.

On the other hand I can and have seen that doing so ironically can balance out my energy so that I'm not too sun-averse. I am planning a mock-ritual of sorts to Helios and Amaterasu as a result. They are two culturally diverse deities, but both serve the same function when it comes down to it.

☯️ indeed.
I'm not sure why folks are so quiet these days... I see lots of folks checking in.
Maybe we need to put a SummerSolstice fire under them!

Yeah I know Firebird. It seems like it has been very quiet lately. I hope that we can get things going again.

Well Happy Solstice everyone!
The solar water is brewing, I also cut some herbs on this high energy day.
Getting up at dawn was a treat, something I was dreading that turned out very pleasant! YEAH!
