RHPS? Do you mean 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show'? I saw that on tv a couple years ago. I didn't really follow it and I got confused. From what I can remember it was a great movie. :) Didn't Tim Curry play Dr. Franke-N-Furter? I love his character!! :D

Yes and yes. He says that character ruined his career ;) He's right, but I still loved it.

Lol, i had to look him up today because i didnt know who he was without the make up. I saw and was shocked. I think it takes a real man to dress up like a woman! lol. Yes it is a bite strange of a show but i love it. And really i think i have seen him in more newer shows then i have ever seen him in old shows, i saw some old pictures of his befor RHPS and i havent ever seen the movies, but the new pictures of his i recognized instantly.

well if playin franky ruined his career thats his problem, because thats the best ive ever seen him act. my favourite part of that movie is the song that meatloaf sings incidently, about saturday night, and then when they eat him for dinner. overall its an...interesting...movie, it doesnt have much of a story,

What are you talking about? Of course there's story! It just isn't a very complicated one.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE RHPS!!!!

Don't Fear the Reaper are awesome lyrics!
There are so many good songs out there that it is really hard to pick just one favourite so I will be back with more later.
LOL!

Kathy's Song by Simon and Garfunkle is beautiful.

I hear the drizzle of the rain
Like a memory it falls
Soft and warm continuing
Tapping on my roof and walls.

And from the shelter of my mind
Through the window of my eyes
I gaze beyond the rain-drenched streets
To England where my heart lies.

My mind's distracted and DIFFUSED
My thoughts are many miles away
They lie with you when you're asleep
And kiss you when you start your day.

And a song I was writing is left undone
I don't know why I spend my time
Writing songs I can't believe
With words that tear and strain to rhyme.

And so you see I have come to doubt
All that I once held as true
I stand alone without beliefs
The only truth I know is you.

And as I watch the drops of rain
Weave their weary paths and die
I know that I am like the rain
There but for the grace of you go I.

ofcourse rocky horror had a story, just not much of one. and it also seems quite random.

another really sad song is

The Ballad of Lucy Jordan, Dr. Hook sang it the best

How did it ruin his career?? I think RHPS helped it. He's been in a lot of stuff since then. Clue, The Wild Thornberrys, and The Adventures Of Jimmy Neutron- just to name a few. What is the story line?

I love don't fear the reaper - have you heard the HIM version? It's haunting and melancholic. Sorry about RHPS guys - not for me, but Tim Curry is wonderful isn't he?

It's ok, Eretik. RHPS is not for everybody by any stretch of the imagination!

First of all, have you watched RHPS? (No offense, legitimate question!) Tim Curry plays Dr. Frankenfurter, a transvestite from planet Transylvania. He is there to study for... what I can't remember. But he ends up just trying to create the ultimate man for himself - Rocky. A few people get caught up in his madness and ultimately bring about his downfall.

The songs, dialogue, costumes and plot are all very campy and goofy. This is not a serious movie and it's hard for any actor who was in that movie to be taken seriously (Susan Sarandon aside - her career took off after this one!) because they strut around in ridiculous corsets and tights, having sex and spouting cheesy lines. ("Janet!" "Brad!" Janet!" "Dr. Scott!" "Rocky!" etc)

Anyway, Tim Curry has been in plenty of stuff since then, but none of it actually utilizes his skills or rewards his talent. He's been a B actor since then.

Thanks for bringing that back to topic Sobek... not sure how 'beautiful song lyrics' became 'RHPS critique'!

I like that song, too... Though for the longest time I thought they were saying 'reefer' rather than 'reaper'.

lol....reefer.....

Yes, I've seen RHPS. :D He was a scientist?? I just thought he was a weird transvestite with an awesome wardrobe.... :D .....The acting did suck and that one song between that couple was soo annoying! I almost threw something at the tv. Wait, that was Susan Sarandon was Janet?!?! lol That's kind of funny. I never really thought of him as a B actor- I've seen a lot of things that he's been in- but I definately see your point.

Okay, let's get back on topic......... :D

Woah haven't posted in a while XD well for me (and to keep the thread on topic XD):

Theatre of Tragedy - A Distance There Is
Draconian - A Scenery of Loss
Akira Yamaoka - Room of Angel (Silent Hill 4 OST)
Queen Adreena - The Butcher and The Buttefly
The Gathering - In Motion #1 and #2

Basically just a few songs that mean quite a bit to me.
