If you could back-up what you said though it would be nice.

You'll need to type in wicca in one search, witch in another. The latter will give a couple pages of results, sort through them.

Erm thanks for the link but no thanks! I won't be searching through sites! I asked you to back-up what you said, not what some site said. Just because a site says something do you take it as the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth? If a site told you to jump off a cliff would you come here and say to everyone "Why yes, it is safe to jump off that cliff, I've just read it on a site"

You're class, I can't stop grinning to myself as I write this :D  :D

Thanks for your opinion anyway :D

Your Altar and all accroutrements are stunning Enlightenment 'real Wiccan' hmmmmmm. Best I don't comment there. By the way, if I can get some 'techy' help I'll put up pics of some of my fripperies, I collect bits and bobs from different cultures - some are antique. I'm fond of shiny objects, I have a lot of brass Hindu items also. I've got to say it.... so is it only Real Wiccans who can create aesthetically pleasing or correct Altars?Dangerous statement, I think.

While I've seen diagrams for 'correct Wiccan altar setups' I don't believe there is such a thing. Sure there would be for a group ritual or specific tradition but in the end... You altar is not made more beautiful by which path you follow.

I love it personally. Great job!

Well thanks Eretik and Sercee, that's very kind of you :D It's so special to me, a Sacred Space where I can go and have time out to do the thing's I love best.

I was laughing at the same thing "a real Wiccan Altar", IMO there is no such thing. I have all the corresponding tools in the right Quarters with the correct tools, the rest is my own creation, without that we wouldn't be individuals. Like I said before, as long as the person who's Altar it is is happy with it then nothing else matters.

Eretik ~ Some piccies would be great

Blessings!

Wow! Yours looks great. Mine looks so ordinary in comparison. I have only had my "official" alter for a while though. I had the hideaway ones before and had to set it up everytime. I like my new one though, even though it is still pretty simple.

Aww... Thanks Sobek.
I am actually just so glad that I can have one out and not have to hide it. My last significant other had no idea that I was pagan, so I had to hide everything. I always felt like I was being deceitful though which is why our relationship was doomed.
My children helped me build my Alter - another reason why I love it so much!

Babygirl, that's awesome. Like Sobek says, it's built with some amazing materials. And because it's still 'simple' as you put it you can add to it slowly over time and everything that gets put into it will mean something special to you. That will carry through in everything you do with it.

that is a beutiful altar. I don't have one yet.
In fact I dont have much in the way of witchy equipment. I'm not fantastically sure yet what is right or wrong stuff to use, and how to properly consecrate everything- or if i even need any stuff at all.
Most of my spells, I cast in my head- and they seem to work.

Sekrets, mine is consecrated by cat fur - and raided by cats and kids often. That's why it's not formal. My 'altar' is my dining table centrepiece - the grandkids love to play with my things, I like that. Babygirl it strengthens the energy of your home to have the kids help with these things. I think it's very cool.
