I always find that when someone is happy and secure in their beliefs, they have little need to shove it down other people's throats.

Hmmm... I wonder what that says about people who constantly proselytise...?

i find it rather irritating personally. its one thing to believe something but this is plain rude, and ironically dis-respectful.

There, there, Exilus. We understand, and we have read your very informative and intelligent answer to this very topic many times. Don't hurt your fingers! :)

Red, everyone here has an opinion, and everyone is welcome to it. I, for one, thrive on exchanging ideas and knowledge. It's how people grow.

I've never gotten mad here before, but I will say this:
Don't ever preach. You're religion is yours, not mine, not JD's, Eretiks, or anyone else's here. I'm glad you found your God, but most of us don't believe in that God. It's rude, it's presumptuous, ignorant and vain.

Feel free to tell us how you're inspired by your God. Go on about the beauty in Angels. Don't you dare tell anyone to change their beliefs.

Everyone: If I've gone over the top, I'm sorry.

Well said sister! You weren't over the top. In fact, I think you were really quite restrained, considering the circumstances. I wrote a much less polite post and then deleted it all.

As a Christian I believe that ghosts are most likely demonic in nature (though I couldn't ever back that up with a scrap of scripture). I say that because demons seek only to avert our attention from our Maker, and if they can can give us a chill in the process, then why not?

While people in Christ's day believed that one's spirit hung around for a few days afterthe person died, there is no room that I know of in the Bible to allow for ghosts roaming around indefinitely.

Be extremely careful dealing with things. Better yet, seek God instead, you will find a much better friend in Him. In my miniscule amount of experience with these things I have found them to be hateful creatures.
Well my experience with "these things" has been the total opposite to yours - I wonder why this is???

Preach, preach and preach some more, your turning no one here, truss me! I find you VERY rude!!!

As a Metaphysician and a NeoPagan, I believe in Spirits as being persons and animals that have passed on.

Whether you're Wiccan or any other religion, if you happen across a spirit, I guess you'll believe in it :D

Red -

I know MANY Christians who would disagree with you.

Hello! I didn't realize there was a for everyone message board.
The best way to find out more about spirits, is to contact your spirit guides.

Well, whether I believe in Spirits or not, they certainly seem to believe in me. I am pretty sure I saw around 8 or 9 at my mothers funeral. They were not alarming in anyway whatsoever, I barely noticed them, but I made a mental note to think on them later, which I did.

Welcome to the For Everyone Section Spiralwind.
Reason is out to lunch. How may I help you?
