I was very sceptical about auras and all the 'new agey' stuff that you often find alongside, but I recently had a couple of experiences [ and in the far past also] that made me think and want to know more. I was 'raising and using' energy working for a friend, watched by my aura sensitive other friend, he describerd the process in relation to shifts in both auric fields, that he could see. It amazed me and made me curious, the other experience was equally strange, but not unusual for me. I am often conflicted [ continuing on from your other post, if you don't mind] but I can control my 'impulses' and know not to let it out in the wrong place these days. It took me a long time to learn how. I still sometimes jump before thinking lol. I 'm looking for sites on Auric fields and elctromagnetic resonance at the moment, to help me understand more. I 'll post anything of interest here.

This is interesting. My %100 colors are Blue, Abstract Tan, and Violet.
Her reads on the colors are fascinating, since I seem to think of the Sun as Orange, rather than Red, and her site with it's attributions gives a clear reason why. Also, the "Red Overlay" is probably what a lot of people see when they see someone's aura as being red. Her system has effectively cleared up some issues and inconsistencies I've had with the aura system in the past.

My issues aren't around the idea that one can perceive energy, but how people tend to map it and describe it. Since it's a very subjective medium, there is a tendency for people to describe chaotic systems as "broken" or "damaged", when the individual in question is merely a part of a more chaotic system than the individual making the assessment.

Healers tend to be, at heart, champions of order. I'm not trying to be judgmental here, since order is very important to the continuance of civilization. Also there are Fey healers who are not very orderly, and shamans who are always standing in the gateway between order and chaos, but overall it seems to be true. This is why healing systems like Reki don't work for everyone. It assumes that if everyone were healthy their energy system would look the same. But what if that person has a fey soul? What if they are organized differently, and they hare more chaos oriented? Freezing them into place would damage them. So it's a very touchy subject. I have always found that giving a consensual aura cleansing does no harm, but actually mucking around with the underlying structure to be a hazardous task. You really have to be sure that the things you are changing or are getting rid of are really supposed to be dealt with.

OTOH, people's auras are very resilient, and if you take something away that needs to be there, chances are that it will return. (But at what cost?) After all, one can go thorough a ritual that completely removes the chakras and come back better for it. However, you need to give them back when you are done, and don't forget any. And this sort of ritual needs to be done by someone highly skilled, very sensitive and very, very careful.
