What Could I Do??

Postby [Haley] » Thu Aug 23, 2007 11:31 am

I have many different trees/shrubs/bushes in my backyard and was wondering what I could make with them. The trees that I know what they're called are apple, cherry, pear, pine, crabapple (malus), eastern redbud, walnut, and scarlet (?) oak. I know that there's a use for them, but I just don't know what, any ideas? Thanks in advance! :D

Well, there's a few celebrations coming up, you could use them to make a wreath or a pentagram. Take a few younger branches from the trees that you like best or that work for the occasion you're planning for (make sure you ask the tree first and thank it!) soak them overnight in water, then shape and bind them. Decorate as desired :)

Wow! That's a nice range of trees! If I were you, I'd go into the wand making business, since you have a wide range of desirable woods to work with. Oak, cherry, pear, apple and walnut are fantastic wand woods.

All you need is ash and thorn and maybe a grave wood, and you'd have the whole lot!
