The God

I have explained in a few posts before this one that I have yet to connect with the God.

I have Isis as my Goddess and she is beautiful. I felt connected to her more than any other Egyptian God I studied when I was younger.

However, I'm having some trouble with connecting to a God. I don't know what it is.....maybe it's my phobia of relating to a God becaus the last one i trusted wasn't real. Also, I haven't had much luck with males on the lurve side.

Im just wondering if anyone can help me. How did you get connected with yours? How did you choose the name?

I'm thinking of Osiris...but I never felt as connected to him...although I do feel his presence sometimes....

Just because Osiris and Isis are eternally in love doesnt mean he is the god you will connect with...

dont go out of your way to acheive connection, just let it come of its own accord.

The last one you trusted wasn't real? how so?

I'm not sure how to answer this. Are you of the "all gods are one god" belief? Or are you hard polytheist, believing that all are separate, distinct entities?

If the former, which is the impression that I get, I really don't know how to answer because this is not my belief or experience at all, and all I can think to say is that if all gods are one god, then how does it matter which name? I know that's not what you're looking for but that's where the logic takes me.

If the latter, well...it's a little more complicated. Some people connect to only one deity, not everyone connects to a god and a goddess, or connects to different ones on different levels. It's possible that you don't have that sort of connection to a god, or just don't at this time for whatever reason. Have you tried doing any meditations, or making any offerings to an unknown god to see if you get a response?

I agree with Sobek. Don't force any connections, let them come to you, at the right time.
