need some help!!!!!!!!! protection needed

ok so maybe i am overreacting but i think i need a protection spell/anti-hexing spell or something.
as many of u know i recently left a bad relationship and i believe my X may be causing me a bit of mysticle trouble.
alot of weird little crap has been happening, i wont go into all of it cause most of it is small. but on top of it all the X had moved away and decided to move back to my town yesterday. today the new guy i was seeing lost his job under weird circumstances, and this afternoon i found a nest of black widows in my bedroom! now i am having to miss half of work and ship all the kitties out so i can bomb my house.

I know these things could occur naturally but it seems weird the timeing, plus my friend who is a spider person was telling me it is very odd for black widows to be in a group, that they prefer to be loners. Ontop of everything this wouldn't be the 1st time i've had bad majics worked on me and there is just i dunno a feel to life when magic is interveining and it just feels funny, and i am familier with his work.

My X was found of gypsy magics, but would throw together alot of stuff on the fly. he was just pretty found of cursing people in general that pissed him off. i dont have alot of supplies the simpler the protection majics the better, i have some candles and stones mostly, some sharks teeth and prolly could find a few other things lying around in a pinch.
Is ther a way for me to bind him from useing harmful magic ? i have never really tried anything like that b4.

A prayer to your favorite protective deity and some salt across the top and bottom of your door, as well as a little in your car...maybe slyly toss some across the entrance of your workplace...should do the trick.

Hmmm. How do you feel about spiders? Bear with me.

If you are indifferent or ok with spiders, you may want to chat with Spider whom some call Aracne. She is generally a pretty reasonable character, if a little down the trickster line. If you get a male vibe then you should probably talk to Anansi instead... but frankly the whole black widow thing sounds like a female vibe. On the third hand (spiders have plenty) tricksters don't always limit themselves by gender... so you may want to do some divination about whom you should talk to.

The whole point is, you want to make a deal with her, and to find out if he's been lying to her about you in order to get extra favors for pestering. IE. Spirit animals are usually much more likely to play "pranks" if they think you did something bad, and running away from a harmful relationship doesn't really qualify, since Spider (Aracne) would probably be more sympathetic to you, all things considered.

Because if you let her know that she's been lied to, or that this is a habit with him (knowing some of the history has clued me)... that could have long term consequences for him and his ability to make magic.. or how effective the results, in essence. Now, while some spiritual critters care more truth qua truth in general than others, but few like making deals that involve specific untruths directed at their expense to gain favor. That's a cardinal no-no... it almost doesn't matter whom you are dealing with. If you fill them in on the details, you can probably make a strong argument to gain a permanent nix on all little hexes and curses sent your way from this guy.

Now, granted, this is a fairly shamanic way to handle this situation. Some would consider it legalistic and possibly interfereing with so-n-so's karma, but I don't think so. Sure, you sould cleanse your home and put up massive protection (I would advise meditating for, say 20 minutes over three consecutive days on white glowing energy walls embedded in the walls of your home that just bounce and ground whatever nasties come your way, with some salt, dragon's blood (or hyssop, to prevent staining the carpet) and red pepper backup).

Also, take a curse removing bath in hyssop, lavender and chamomile to help relax you as well as remove the curse. Do that over three consecutive days as well. Wearing a black onyx bead wouldn't be amiss either. These sorts of things have a tendency to wear out, however, and you may not always remember to cleanse, bathe, or re-charge your walls.

I like making quickie bracelets for this sort of thing, with some soft hemp or leather thong around an onyx bead with a big hole. Heck, some people just wear black leather straps tied around one wrist as a protection measure! But I'm a suspenders and belt sort of witch.

However, if you absolutely hate hate hate spiders and you could never deal with that kind of thing, you could just rely on various anti-curse methods, or talk to someone who'd be willing to speak to Spider on your behalf.

omg, i need to try something! my best friend came and took my cats 2 her house and brought me bug bombs and everything, they were 3 hour bombs, she was supposed to bring my cats home and drop my key in the mailbox while i was at work, she offered and is very reliable. i came home , no cats, no key was locked out, tried to bitch call and wakeup new guy, was gonna just take a cab out to his house and crash, his phone is never off. specially recently with all the problems i have been having. but it was off , or having problems or something, had to call a locksmith and spend half of what i made tonight to get in my house.

jcrow: how do i go about talking with arcane? I am still a novice witch, the few times i have spoken with any gods it has been mostly forms of prayer. I do hate spiders but i need this to end. I am genuinly scared at this point.

I will try the baths as well and i think i have a small peice of onyx around here somewhere.

he left something here, a peice of gypsy magic, i forget what he called it, it was supposed to be a protection against violence ward, it is a little peice of rope, twisted around a certain way a certain # of times or something with 1 side attached to the lock and the other the door handle. I want to remove it but i was afraid to go moving supposed protection wards when i really don't know for sure what they are.

It would be more likely that your own relationship karma is coming into manifestation than his karma. When you actively follow the path of a witch, I've found that you're held to a higher ethical standard than before. Thus, when even mundane stuff goes on in your life, whatever mistakes you've made come home to roost much faster (and all in one swoop) than for other people who might just have years of misery.

juliaki, i cannot for the life of me think what i could have done anytime in the recent, and am pretty sure i have already paid 4 the past. I do my very best to hold myself to high standards because i agree with u about witchs being held to a higher ethical standard. I always have. I dunno it is possible, like i said though i had considered this thought because my life was CONSTANTLY like this when i was with him, and for the month or so we have been separated things have been so much better . I dunno i will take that into consideration and maybe review my life and make sure i am living up to standard.

Actually, I think Jcrow has a point,

Anansi can be very helpful.

The simplest way would be to obtain an illustration of a spider (I find using illustrated forms (tribal spider tattoo flash) etc...is more effective than a picture of an actual spider. Why? human psychology dictates a representation allows for a larger amount of associations. And then throw that up on your altar and ask politely for Grandmother Spider to intervene.

She can be very forthcoming to white people, I've found. Like "oh, you finally figured out that I'm awesome!" hahahahaa

Ok firstly I would cast a protection spell on the house. I have a massive fear of spiders and their nests so that is the first thing I would do. I have a spell here if you would like me to type it to you when you see this. I will be more than willing to do it. It's quite simple....just incense, salt, water and a pentacle needed.

Then I would try to cast a protection spell on yourself....that or a binding on your ex. Now, as a Wiccan, I believe that bindings should be used as a last resort...but if you're ex is doing what you've been describing, he needs a firm kick up the bum - to put it nicely.

You can charge a talisman for personal protection (I have a spell for that too)

And there's binding poppets too that I can put on here for you.

Here's just a short list of correspondences that are very good at protecting:

Elements: Fire
Colours: White and Silver
Day: Sunday
Plants: Garlic, Clove, Hazel, Bay, Holly (very festive!)
Herbs: These are quite easy to get hold of: Black Pepper, Basil and Cinnamon
Stones: Amber and Hematite
Incense: Frankincense and Rosemary
Goddesses: Sehkmet, Isis
Gods: Herne and Cernunnos

Echolady; I wouldn't try binding him from using harmful magic. All you can do is to talk yourself into immunity on your end. I mean, do you really want to tangle yourself MORE in his stuff?? Also, I have found that getting away form people with bad influences often kicks up all kinds of "karmic turbulence" for lack of a better term. It's like you have to shake off the inertia before you can move forward.

Keep up the cleansing work, make sure you do it often. If you don't want to smudge you can always use a spay bottle on mist with a combination of equal parts vodka and water, a little bit of glycerin, (a teaspoon or thereabouts) vitamin E or grapefruit seed extract (a few drops) and a few drops of cleansing essential oils, like sage, hyssop, niaouli, melissa, cedar, sandalwood or lavender. Spritz that around as a part of your regular cleansing regimen when you don't want all that smoke from incense or smudge.

My advice is to get the gypsy charm out of the place.Simple -put on black gloves [or cover hands in black fabric -you could use an old t shirt,dispose of or wash gloves in salty water,afterwards] wrap offending rope in black cloth/paper.Remove from your vicinity. You could bury/hide it on his property [I like returning things -it's only good manners after all] or bury it in some out of the way place.You can also throw it in running water if you choose. I'd incant a simple charm 'Return to Earth[water], this spell has run it it's course....' and so on.I wouldn't 'return it to the maker' as he may have had help with it and it's best not to involve another.After this do a ritual cleansing of your space.Salt the boundaries [windows/doorways -entrance/ exit] and move on with life.I hope you are well.Sorry I didn't see this before.You don't need expensive or hard to get bits and bobs.Don't go for complicated,if you can do simple -my motto.lol.Bay leaves under/over boundaries are good too. You can try a banishing spell to stop negative energy from attacking you.
This will protect without causing the person bound any harm.
It is not a dark spell but a very potent protective one. Take a bath
and cleanse your aura with the white light of protection before beginning.
Banish all negative thoughts you may have. Harbor no ill will.

You may use banishing oil or a different oil such as Rosemary or Rue.

Materials:
1 black taper or image candle (use correct gender for image candle to represent who you are trying to bind)
nail
a large piece of black cloth
a piece of felt (large enough to make a poppet)
cotton to stuff the poppet you make of the felt
red ribbon
needle and cotton or linen thread
Banishing oil or substitute
loose tobacco
A small mirror that can stand by itself
If you can obtain hair or nail clippings from the person or a picture, you can use it in this spell.
Fold the felt in half and cut out a rough shape of the person you want to bind.
Make the figure large enough so that you will be able to stuff it after you have sewn it together.
Sew the pieces of the poppet (made of felt or black cloth)together, leaving a hole through which you can stuff the poppet.
Fill it with cotton and tobacco, and if you have the hair or nail clippings of the person, add those to it.
Once it is filled, sew the opening closed. If you have a picture of the person,
staple or sew it to the front of the poppet.
Next, carve the name of the person onto the black image candle with the nail.
If you have runes, add them to your altar:
Thuraz, Isa, Eihwas, a dark filled in circle to represent the dark moon,
bars like you will see in a jail, and a widdershins (anticlockwise) spiral.
You can also copy the runes on a piece of paper if you don't have actual runes.
Anoint the candle and the poppet with the oil.
Cast a circle, invoke the elements, God or Goddess you are working with.
Light the altar candles.
Light the black candle and adjust the mirror so that flame is reflected in the glass.
Hold the poppet out in front of you and say:
"Creature of cloth thou art,
Creature of flesh and blood you be.
I name you (name of the person you are binding).
No more shall you do me harm.
No more shall you repeat false tales.
No more shall you interfere in my life, nor in the lives of my loved ones.
By the power of the Gods and by my will, So mote it be!"
Draw an invoking pentagram in the air over the poppet.
Now take the ribbon and begin to wrap the poppet like a mummy,
leaving no space unwrapped. Say:
"I bind your feet from bringing harm to me.
I bind your hands from reaching out to harm me.
I bind your mouth from spreading false tales to harm me.
I bind your mind from sending energy to harm me.
If you do so continue, let all negative energy be cast and reflected directly at you!"
Tie off the ribbon and hold the poppet in front of the mirror while you visualize all negative energy this person has sent to you being reflected back at them.
Wrap the poppet in the black cloth and tie with another length of ribbon. Say:
"Great Mother, I have bound this person
from harming me and my loved ones.
By the powers of three times three
By Earth and Fire, Air and Sea
I fix this spell, then set it free
Twill give no harm to return to me
As I will, So mote it be!"
Let the candle burn out while the poppet sits at its base, then take the poppet and the remains of the candle far from your home and bury it deep in the ground or toss it in the ocean and walk away without looking back.

This is a spell that is very, very powerful. Be sure you keep a clear, positive mindset, you do not wish to do him any harm, you just want him to stop directing his negative energy toward you. Should he continue to direct negative energy to you, it will come back on him.

I know there is much controversy on binding an banishing spells. Indeed, they can be dangerous to the caster if there is malevolent intent. But by maintaining a positive, loving mindset (tell him you set him free from any hatred), they do work, and they will not bring back negative energy to you.

Weeelll....yes and no. When you do a binding spell, you are announcing to the universe that you know how a person should act and how karma should be doled out to the individual in question. As such, you become their "agent of karma". What this means is that if the bound person acts in a harmful manner, the karma comes back on you first and then to a lesser extent on that person. So even if you do so with lots of "love and light" in your heart, you can still end up getting thwapped to heck and back by karmic rebound, which isn't "negative energy" (as karma is neither positive nor negative), but can be just as painful as "negative energy".
