In need of some music help

Postby Blazewind » Sun May 11, 2008 1:30 pm

Sorry, I've not been around much lately. I just been busy, doing many other things. I'm hoping to start reading and posting one more again. Anyway... I need some help and thouhgt that some members here might be the ones to ask. :D My younger sister is turning 18 in a few months, and so I have some up with this idea to make a music video for her, using many of her childhood and teen years photographs, and putign them into a sort of slide show, with music in the background. The problem I am having is simply chosing the music for it. I need soemtyhing that fits the theme of growing up and reaching adulthood, but is not something to terribly, "sappy." Anyone here have any idea of what might posibly be a good song to use?
Thanks everyone. :)

I've always liked Dear Jessie by Madonna.
It's a really upbeat, lullabyish kinda song and it's childish and insightful in it's own way.

If you don't have it, I'd be willing to send you the file, if you'd like. =)

I've easily found the song and listened to it. It's actually a really nice song. I really like it... unfornunatly I really don't think my sister would. :( thanks for the suggestion though. it is a really cool song.

No problem, lol. I know that we all have different tastes in music and therefore can understand completely. =)
Out of curiosity, what genre of music does your sister like? I don't know if I can help, but I'll do my best.

Wind Beneath my Wings? I hope you dance? Of course I'm a crone so these songs may not be of a younger persons liking....

Those are really good ones! Which reminded me of another, lol.
It's country, but I have no idea who sings it.
It goes something like,

I am Rosemary's granddaughter
the spitting image of my father
and when the day is done my mama's still my biggest fan
sometimes I'm clueless and I'm clumsy
but I have friends that love me
something something
who I am.

Lol...something like that. XDD

Oh yeah. I rememmber that song. I think the song is called "who I am", but I don't know who sings it either. My sister actually really likes that songs, last I heard. I'm surprised I never thought about that one.
EarthWitch, I think I hope you Dance is actually another great posibility. Thanks both of you.

My opinion is my own. I am willing to share it, though you are not required to accept it.
