Akashic records

Hi!

I was wondering if any of you have any experience with Akashic records. I read some on it and found some guided meditations both online and in books. But I was hoping for some practical experience from people to learn more about it. Why to consult them? how it feels? etc.

I have not accessed my Akashic records but I read that it is kind of like a library and holds all human experience and events within the universe. I believe people consult it to find out about their past lives or of future events.

I dont know a lot about akashic records but for a long time i have been able to do this thing while looking into my own reflection... (in a mirror, glass, water etc) where i stare into my own eyes and my face slowly morphs into a different face and then another and another and i jst sit and watch it happen. i used to find it scary now i just find it really interesting.. i could explain to you how i did it but i dont know if its something everyone can do or jst me or what.. i dont know.

The Akashic Records are based on the concept that all from the smallest action or passing thought, to the most monumental happenings on Earth, are recorded to be kept forever.

I was able to check my Akashic Record about two weeks ago in a meditative trance.

The way I perceived it:

I was floating upwards, circling around me were selves. On each shelf were different colored objects. They were not books but I recognized them symbolically as books.

When I reached my own a spirit guide of some sort was there. We opened what looked to be a large book. I asked him what my origin was. He told me and the words on the page read, "Sirius."

I have a god-awful holy terror of viewing my Akashic record. I am not afraid of death itself, yet I can't even sit still in meditation to look at this record (and I have meditated for most of my life). There's a problem there. I put it on my to-do list for 2010 to face this fear. Wish me luck.

Why are you afraid of looking at your Akashic record? Are you afraid of seeing when you will die?

No, I've seen parts of my death already, doesn't phase me. In fact it will be a relief. No, I have an irrational fear of looking at the Akashic record itself. I've tried to enter that room, and it's funny --when I get there I'll veer to the right or left of the door, then I come back down here. I refuse to go in.

It's irrational. It'll take a few sessions of work, probably over several months, to work through this. I've done this before with other matters, I can do it with this.

Interesting? Any theory on where this fear comes from?

I don't even want to think what the size of the room that my akashic record is kept in. I figure when I get regular peeks at the future and if I try hard enough I can remember my past why should I look at the record
