So yes, I love your everyday bands, KISS and the like. (I happen to be a KISS Army soldier ^^;), but of course, I can't resist good New Age or classical music.
A couple awesome ones are Dianne Arkenstone, Lifescapes, and this crazy 10 CD box set I got for like... 12 bucks. (London Symphony Orchestra and Sounds of Nature).
Anyone else keen on this stuff? Anybody like those artists too?

I love ambient music... then again I can love my Hendrix & Joplin and NIN and Manson too... I'm a very diverse music listener. :28: (Except country music- I never could get into that stuff... oh, and I hate Neil Diamond (it's not really him, I was stuck in a van with my sleeping schoolmates for 8 hours while the driver played "Cherry Cherry" over and over and over.... pretty much for 6 of the 8 hours.... so I tend to run when I here Neil on the radio.
).... oh, and Mariah Carey too- I can't stand her voice.)
OK, enough of what I hate musically... back to positive things-- Hmm... I have a huge soft spot for Rachmaninoff music, especially his "Isle of the Dead" ...it's such a hauntingly beautiful piece of music. Along the lines of just relaxing sounds, I have a CD a friend gave me called "Inner Peace" by Body & Soul. I have no idea where he got it, but my itunes says it's classified as "new age" so it most likely came from his new age/pagan shops in the area (he lives in Los Angeles). Anyhow, it's very nice. Sounds like the kind of thing they play during a professional massage... very calming & centering.
I actually created a most beautiful painting listening to that CD. :28:
I'm also a fan of Enya, Enigma & Lorena McKennitt (celtic).
Woot-woot, music!
~bright blessings~

Im personally not into all the new age and abient stuff but i do enjoy some of the celtic music, i first listened to Lorena McKennitt when i was like 6 or 7....but for the most part i prefere hard rock/metal/punk rock music...but i always go for the techno when i want to relax. I love techno (im abit of a raver)
