Spirit Guided Meditation (contacting human spirit guides)

Postby [cherokeewind] » Thu Oct 16, 2008 4:28 pm

I get a lot of PMs from those asking for help...they need a sense of direction in their life or deal with people problems. This has been useful info, allowing them to contact spirit guides through meditation.

This is something that would be needed everyday or whenever the time permits. I don't know your schedule. You won't have to burn a candle or wait for the right moon phase to contact spirit guides. But, should use salt and water to raise a little energy each time or session. Like Blake mentioned to someone in a thread, keep the salt and water in a bottle (if you want) or mix up some fresh each time to use.

Sitting down on the floor is a good way to meditate. It is ok to be on carpet or a rug. Make sure there is enough room, 6-8 feet to create sacred space.

1. Take the salt and water to the East edge of your space. Standing there hold and present the salt/water to the East. Say "come powers of the East" then visualize the color (maybe yellow) which can be associated with the element air. Walk to the South, do the same for "powers of the South" visualize the color. Continue to West, North, same way. Walk to the East to complete the circle. If you want, place stones or seashells ahead of time to mark the boundry of the circle. All is needed is one at East, South, West, North, plus at the cross-quarters (points between the 4 directions).

2. Sit down in the center facing East. Say "Oh guides, our friends who are on SIDE (Side is just the old Wiccan name for the realm of spirits) Blessed Be! Show me the good ways of the Goddess path; thank you for helping me, as I will so mote it be!

3. Now your space should start to feel spiritual or be full of a blue/white light. Meditate on the situation or anything else important...listen for thoughts or words that you know didn't come from your own mind. Messages from the guides can come to us this way.

4. When finished, thank your guides for being there and dismiss with a positive outlook. Sometimes guides will speak later in the day by showing you some kind of a sign...answer you in some way.

And perhaps your spirit guides might be able to speak to that person, in such a way which could do much more good than what our attempts would accomplish.

Oh, this can be done in both Wiccan or Native American ritual format...this is for human spirit guides rather than animal ones In Native American, smoke is used (smudging or pipe) to the 4 directions, Earth, Sky, Wakan Tonka or Great Mystery. :D

You should hold an Eagle feather and make a prayer to Wakan Tonka for spirit guides. Then lay down the feather, ask or invite the guides to join you.

Eagle Feather?

Postby redrockwolf » Thu Dec 11, 2008 4:31 pm

Eagle feathers are hard to get--not to mention, illegal. I have Cherokee blood in me, but can't get the required information needed to be able to register. So, not being a registered Cherokee, I can't use an Eagle feather, even if it's considered a religious ceremony. Any other suggestions?

Sorry for not getting your question answered, I haven't been around for a while. Imitation Eagle feathers are fine, like you get from Native trading posts...that is what I use. I think from what I remember of some posts at the Native American message board, Pow Wows now either prefer or even require the dancers to have imitation feathers only. For ceremonies a nice imitation Eagle feather from a Native supply will get the job done.

Here is one dozen Jumbo feathers, like I bought from Crazy Crow back when orders were by paper catalogs, over a decade ago...still have most of them, they never seem to wear out.

But I have yet to have a human guide as per title, always aliens, Hathors and some really ugly mob with pointy chins/teardrop faces, but there is always someone in the distance when doing meditations/exercise like this but he refuses to take center stage but willing to put his thoughts through to someone in front.

I am always in contact with a spirit and there right on every time and I thank you for sharing, the more information we have the more knowledgeable we will be in the future and with help from our inner and outer guides all our lives change.

Brett.

Yes, I've over the years, learned that the messages, visions, received during spirit guided meditation in a circle, sooner or later prove to be right...so, I've also learned to listen and take heed to them.
