Ok then. I was a little annoyed, I feel you need some 'centre -ing' excuse that , I'm not sure of the word, spelling etc. It should help. You should set some time aside and read please. You can pull energy, strongly, too, it would seem. You need to learn focus and how to work with it, it takes time, you can get hurt - like you've experienced. How is the pain? Has it lessened or gone? I thought, when I first read your post, that you may have busted a rib or two - it can happen! I hope not - but if the pain persists remember the good old fashioned doctor, is also a useful tool, lol. The bath stuff is simple but very effective, I forget sometimes, that not every one keeps lots of herbs in their kitchen. Whoops. It is a good idea to stock up on some, dried sage can be used if you can't find fennel seeds, the epsom salts are optional but relax the muscles, so good. I hope you are rested and feeling better.

Healers don't generally take pain from people and suffer that pain themselves what they do do is to unblock energy blockages in people so as the energy can flow freely and unhindered ( the cause of pain in the first place ).
Hedge, may I suggest to you "The Woman In The Shaman's Body" by Barbara Tedlock to help broaden your knowledge of healing techniques.

I feel the pain...

Postby Moonphase » Tue Feb 12, 2008 12:33 pm

Your thoughts and ideas are encouraged on this please

I also feel the pain of others, if I'm at a family gathering or in a meeting at work, once I get close to some people I get the pain they have. Sometimes I can block it out by getting away from the person I feel, but if I get near them again the pain comes back, by the end of the day I'm so tired and my palms hurt. One one occasion my plams turned black and blue.

The person does not need to say they feel ill or even look ill-all they need to do is shake my hand or give me a hug.

I've never met anyone else that feels pain in their palms too. Maybe I just never asked. I've never had them change color but I've had them ache horribly. I heard there are supposed to be minor chakras there but thats all I know.

I mean, it its true that you took his pain and bore it yourself. amazing!!! :!: I want to so badly become a healer, I'm going to start experimenting once I get rested. I've been doing a lot of practicing and meditation and it drains me even when I get lots of sleep. Anyway, thats an amazing story and ill let you know if I can attempt some healing similar to yours, congratulations your story has been an inspiration.

becareful of what you wish for, please dont rush into it,you could do more harm than good dont get me wrong im not treating you like a fool im just trying to show you it could go wrong which is draining you the meditation or the practicing

if you read the thread, you'd have noticed there is no quick way to do this. It was her ability, rather then a spell or ritual that allowed for this.

Magic like this needs to be considered, I mean, what if that person pain will ultimatly kill them, and you take it before that point? Will it kill you?

I am sure if you gave it enough effort you could produce a ritual or spell even to reproduce the effects, perhaps...

Its a very coomplicated and difficult magic your talking about here, taking someones pain, its no throw some herbs in a pot and chant a lovely poem stuff.

Take what ever tone you'd like with me, your limited understanding of magic is of little concern to me.

You want to help, become a nurse.

By calling yourself inexperienced you make yourself inexperienced. The key to advanced magic as its called is jumping in head first and seeing if you have the ability.

I see a lot of posts that say

"I'm new..."

"Or your right, guess I just don't know enough..."

People who are trapped in that cycle of

"I need books to teach me.."

or

"I should take an online class.."

If you want to take someone pain, stop, think about it.

Meditate on it, use your knowledge of magic to find a way, think of crystals, herbs, tools you can use. Remember that the greatest tool is your body. People can do amazing things when they tap into metaphyscs.

That being said, I can put all the thought I want into trying to make myself fly like on charmed, and its not going to happen.

You can do amazing things when you put your mind to it, but I find that matters of mortality, such as injuries and serious illness are best left to trained health care professionals.

I am not trying to be down on you, truly, but I find that there are so many people who a fluff, and I simply cannot stand those people who think they can conjure fire, etc.

The way to succed at magic is to step back and say, can I handle this with magic, or would a mundane solution prove more effective.

its all common sense love, common sense...

Sadly common sense isn't too common.

Gregory, I love and agree with your "jump in head first" way doing. Did you always practise like this?

Just makes me curious, because in many of your posts I notice you come across as one who advises caution.

But it is all important that one knows their limits and doesn't push them too far.

I've had a couple of friends over the year, ALL of their knowledges and magics were gnosis. In the coven they had absolutely no credibility because they hadn't read big blue.

Gnosis is important, go with it despite it's lack of print.
