Re: What isn't Wicca
I'm spiritually eclectic & do folk-magic. I don't aspect the Goddess or work with a pantheon. I use Catholic meditation practices & Psalm magic. I don’t use Gardnerian ritual tools. My cosmology is not that of Aradia Gospel of the Witches as researched by Chs. Leland. So - what's left that would be Wiccan?

Re: What isn't Wicca
Thanks SpiritTalker for bumping this thread. This is an interesting subject to talk about.
I'm also not Wiccan as I mix my craft with Finnish folk magic and I'm on the fence about deities, I mentioned elsewhere that Diana and Hekate seem to "speak to me" lately. I have been calling them in my prayers and asked for their presence in rituals and I feel that there's something to it. Just mentioning their names gives me chills. I also invite Finnish deities to my circles, mainly Ukko(weather, thunder, the greatest of them.) and Tapio(Forest god, some times a bear or a moose, the guardian of all forests etc.) But I do borrow a lot from Wicca, starting from casting the circle and some of the tools and so on. It would be disrespectful to call myself Wicca as I'm not following a set tradition. Eclectic with strong Wiccan influence would be close to the truth... I do like the God/Goddess thing to an extent and I draw their symbols on everything. There's something about it which resonates with me a lot.
