Do these dreams mean anything?

Recently I have had two very vivid and frankly unpleasant dreams.

The first was about a month ago:

It involved my housemate Alex running to me in tears dropping at my feet and screaming 'she's dead, she's dead' it was his dear girlfriend Liz...who has been a life long friend of mine. There were then snap shots of the funeral and wake and at the end of the dream it seemed to turn into a homicide investigation.

I couldn't get the dream off my mind all the next day and have thought about it on and off since.

The second was two nights after the first dream:

It involved my dear friend Hanna, she and I were young children in the dream and I was visiting her at home, she was gravely ill and suffering from a lukeimia or cancer type illness. I didn't know Hanna as a child and she did not suffer from any illness as a child.

Again I thought about Hanna's dream for a long time.

Is there anything in these dreams at all?? They were both so vivid, I very rarely remember dreams at all, let alone such details like these.

Well, these may be kind of obvious, but:

1. Perhaps his girlfriend is going to die or be in danger of death soon? Did you see how she died? Or it could possibly be someone close to him, but not specifically his girlfriend.

2. What came to mind, is maybe she's prone to one of those illnesses, and needs to be checked for this and told how to prevent it; or maybe she has one of those, but it is at an early stage, and can be stopped if checked right now.

Also, off-topic, but I was wondering what the "wake" when a person dies is? A friend of mine's grandfather just died and mentioned that as well, and I've never heard of that term before today..

Anyways, those are my thoughts.
