A horribly violent dream

I had this dream not too long ago, and it was extremely violent, so be advised it is graphic.

Some background:
I broke up with my ex boyfriend last february and didn't find out until a few weeks after that he cheated on me. Things have been extremely harsh between us and even though that was last year, we still haven't said a word to eachother. I am friends with his best friend and nothing has changed between us.

Anyway, here's the dream....

It starts out in broad daylight, when my ex shows up with his best friend, both with guns. I'm outside in the yard, but then I run back inside. I grab an AK-47 from my basement (which I don't own...) and start running back outside, right when both of them bust down the door. I hit my ex in the back of the head with the gun, while his friend runs upstairs. I continue to hit my ex, but then he pulls out a knife and stabs my stomach. He runs upstairs to his friend, while I double over in pain. However, I manage to go back outside and run down the street, calling for help. An old lady, who I've never seen before, approaches me, takes my AK, and goes inside. Tired from running and dying from blood loss, I stand at the end of my driveway, waiting for an outcome. I hear the old lady scream, and somehow assume she got them. But, both my ex and his friend run outside, covered in blood and carrying the old lady's head with them. I start running as fast as possible, with them chasing me. Then, one of them throws the old lady's head at me, and then the dream suddenly ends.

I haven't had it since that night, but it shook me up pretty bad and I can't seem to have a good reason for it.

Ok this will be interesting. I am not sure if you ate something bad before you slept or if you watch a violent movie before you rested. Here is what it could mean. I guessing you close to your grandparents or was close to them in the past. Also you still love your ex in some way because you did not shot him when you had the chance. Your ex stabs you with a knife very personal and painful. Most likely it what he been putting you through the months you been apart slowing bleeding you. Making you feel pain everything day even if he was not there. The old lady's head could be someone been trying to help you with this problem but could not help.
