dream about losing teeth?

Postby TaciRain » Tue Jun 30, 2009 8:45 pm

i had a really scary/odd dream the other night that all the teeth on the top row on the right side of my mouth fell out. like i dreamed i hit my jaw and one by one i felt my teeth fall out on the way to the dentist. it scared me so bad i woke up and had to go make sure i hadnt lost any because i FELT the teeth come out! it creeped me the hell out!
so what could losing teeth signify? losing something important or fear thereof? i have good dental hygene but i cannot afford to go to the dentist anymore (which sucks cuz i really need my wisdom teeth out).
it really bothered me.

I used to have a lot of dreams where I lost my teeth...it was really odd. Apparently it can be to do with telling the truth or telling people something you might not want to say.

Is there anything you're trying not to admit to yourself or others?

I sometimes dream about my teeth falling out. But in my dreams they fall out for no reason...weird. :)

According to The Curious Dreamer, which is the best site I've found online for dream interpretations, "Someone having problems with teeth, such as teeth falling out or having cavities, can represent feeling, fearing, or imagining that all is not well with that person, or perhaps that the person is not expressing themselves as well as you think they should." The link to the site is this: http://www.thecuriousdreamer.com/

There's also a really good book for interpreting dreams, but of course I can't remember what it's called at the moment.

loosing teeth can symbolize quite a few things.
when someone dreams of losing their teeth it can mean...
1. that they are concerned about the healthy balance in their physical body or mind
2. that they are concerned that something has affected their health or well-being
3. that they are concerned about losing something of great value, importance or happiness from their current life
4. that they are concerned about/or are not, expressing themselves to their full potential; that they are not expressing/articulating themselves clearly

hope this helps!!!
good luck!!!

When I lost teeth in my dream, I had it interpeted as "fear of how people see me, worried about not having a good image."

I also found it odd that there was no blood when my teeth were falling out.

That's odd/funny because today my co-worker was telling me she had a dream last night about losing her teeth and she woke up in a startle and was feeling them to make sure the dream wasn't real!

"Weird" I came across this post today.

thats kinda how i took it a little too. and there was no blood with mine either. it was almost like the teeth had rotted instantly when i hit and just fell on out...it was scary...but for some reason it felt familiar. the pulling sensation i got in my mouth...deja vu or maybe i've had that dream before? idk.

the only thing i can think is that i'm wanting to expose to the world (including my family) about my beliefs, the fact that i'm pagan, that i'm bi, and that i can be both of those things despite how i was raised and still have the same morals and values i've always had and not have f*cking horns growing outta my head and a pitchfork and making out wiht every girl and guy i see.

sorry i went on a bit of a rant *heh heh* but i'm scared to expose myself for who i really am because i've had it rough with my family since i was in middleschool and things are starting to look up. yeah they're still insanebut i'm not around them as much. thats the only way i can think that im worried about how i'm perceived. other than my family i dont care about what anyone else thinks of me. lol.

Don't know if this helps, but in my family, especially with my sister, when we have dreams of falling teeth, blood or not, we have a death or serious illness in our family tree. Maybe not immediate family, but I remember when my grandfather passed, and my uncle, my sister had that type of dream. I had it and my mom was diagnosed with cancer.
That's from my personal experience.
