I've been mulling this one for a couple of days and decided to throw it out for everyone since I'm not making any headway on interpretations, other than there has been too much chatter about my "next" man.
this was my sister's dream she had stated to me
In my dream I am serving coffee and pouring cream. I think the setting is a cafe, but could be a house for all I know. There is a tall man wearing a red "cowboy" shirt (that's what comes to mind when I think about it), silver wire-framed glasses, a cowboy hat, and has a dark brown or black mustache/goatee. There is another man, shorter and stockier wearing a tan shirt, bulging biceps, and a military type haircut. And there is another figure in shadow...appears to be wearing dark blue and jeans. In any case, the cowboy proposes to me as I pour the cream, then the short guy, and the shadow figure as well. Even in my dream I recoil, not wanting to go through another traumatic relationship.
Suddenly, we are no longer in the cafe or house, but are in a dark cavern. It is granite and roughly circular, with torches along the edges and dark openings in between them. In the center of the cavern is a roughly hewn column about waist high and it is divided into three...much like a peace sign. Each man has placed their "offering" into a section---3 gems each for me to chose for my ring--and step back into shadow. The cowboy has 3 red stones...nothing spectacularly huge or brilliant. (I get the irony of the man in red with red stones). The stocky guy has put up a red stone, a yellow topaz, and a blue sapphire. The topaz catches my attention. The shadow figure has put up a clear stone--could be diamond or it could be quartz--that sparkles in the dim light, an emerald, and a dark blue stone that seems to be lapis lazuli to me. I hear them muttering and arguing amongst themselves about who has the better offering, the best quality, etc. They know what is at stake and are not at odds with each other, just impatient for me to choose the man based on their gems.
This is what I've gotten so far:
-the cowboy is in red, his offerings are in red, and it seems as though there is a sexual connection in the dream, so I went with the symbolism of red meaning passion, strength, bravery, energy, fire, sex, love, romance, excitement, speed, heat, arrogance, ambition, leadership, courage, masculinity, power, danger, gaudiness, blood, war, and anger. He could possibly symbolize my first serious relationship.
-the man in tan seems to be military. Yeah, that's about as far as I've gotten with that one. Since the only stone he offered that caught my attention was the yellow topaz, that's what I focused on. Yellow symbolizes sunlight, joy, happiness, earth, optimism, intelligence, idealism, wealth (gold), summer, hope, air, liberalism, cowardice, illness (quarantine), fear, hazards, dishonesty, avarice, weakness, greed, decay or aging. Topaz symbolizes It is a balancing and calming stone that balances emotions, releases tension, balances emotions, and can bring joy. Topaz is also believed to bring success and good fortune, and synchronicity. It is also used for protection, particularly protection from the evil eye and greed. It also is said to bring creativity, individuality, true love, and hope. This man could represent my marriage.
-the shadow figure since he's in the shadows is most likely someone I have yet to meet. All of his offerings catch my attention. The clear stone because it sparkles. The emerald because it's my birth stone. The lapis because it happens to be one of my favs. Continuing with the color symbolism: Green symbolizes intelligence, nature, spring, fertility, youth, environment, wealth, money (US), good luck, vigor, generosity, go, grass, coldness, cunning, jealousy, deceit; Blue can symbolize seas, men, clouds (New Zealand), productive, interior, skies, peace, unity, harmony, tranquility, calmness, trust, coolness, confidence, conservatism, water, ice, loyalty, dependability, technology, winter, depression, coldness, idealism, air, wisdom, royalty, nobility, Earth (planet), Virgo (light blue), Pisces (pale blue) and Aquarius (dark blue, star sign), strength, steadfastness, light, friendliness, peace, keep the bad spirits, stupidity and misfortune away. And the gems: Lapis (lapis lazuli) brings truthfulness, openness, inner power, intuition, creativity, virility and manifestation. It strengthens the mind and body as well as increasing awareness and spiritual connection/evolution. It can help organize daily life as well as organizing and quieting a busy or restless mind. Lapis is also used to contact guardian spirits. Lapis also helps build self-confidence, and is a stone traditionally for royalty. Lapis bring spiritual love and is also known for enhancing love and fidelity within marriage. Emerald is a stone of love and romance. It brings and enhances joy, cleansing, clairvoyance, memory, and faith. Diamond is a stone that bonds relationships and enhances love. It brings longevity, particularly to relationships, balance, clarity and abundance. It can amplify one’s thoughts, strengths, and weaknesses. It gives one who wears or carries it courage and hope. OR in the case of quartz Quartz is a power stone that harmonizes and balances. It enhances energy and thoughts, and purifies the spiritual, mental, and physical. It is also a powerfully protective stone, bringing the purified energy in.

Hi Kratos101!
Just a quick personal observation: I wouldn't overlook the significance of serving coffee and pouring cream. As much as people love it, coffee and cream or milk mixed together are very bad for you. Why? It's very hard on the heart and the digestion. In a dream connotation I would take it to represent that this issue is 'hard on the heart' in the emotional sense and uncomfortable to digest. Hence the recoiling at not wanting to go through another traumatic relationship.
It seems like no one figure in the dream is the 'right' man yet all have something Positive to offer or have things that are attractive. Perhaps the right man would be a conglomeration of the three?
Just my .02! Blessings to you!
