Attuned writing?

I think the word I am searching for is, "attuned writing"-correction-"automatic writing", where you write but have no clue what it is until after you are done. If anyone has any information in regards to this please let me know, thanks!
I started doing this about twelve years ago, it feels as if there is an energy running amuck through your hands but you have no clue what you are writing until after you have completed whatever task it is you were sent on. Several times I felt as if I was "there", living the experience first hand...astral traveling perhaps...possibly a past life revisted.

I thought it was called "automatic writing". You might be able to find some more stuff about it online under that title.

Thank-you, now I have a name for it. It's quite rewarding at times though, especially when you feel as if you are actually "there" living the situation at times of assisting another.
