Healing Spell for Depression

Postby ScarlettRose » Tue Jun 01, 2010 2:15 pm

Anyone have any spells that can help me heal?? I am struggling with depression, and it sucks! And also, what about a spell to get over someone??
I really need to get over this asshole of a guy, I just don't want to think about him anymore.
Anyone have any spells like that?
Thanks a bunch.
Breathing in I feel gratitude; Breathing out I give thanks.
Breathing in I feel joyful; Breathing out I celebrate.
Breathing in I know compassion; Breathing I am compassion.
Breathing in I feel loved; Breathing out I offer love.
Breathing in I am still; Breathing out I am at peace.
Om.

Well are you looking for a spell to get over the guy, or just heal the depression?

I know I have a Romani Spell for curing depression:

Place several peeled cloves of garlic in a saucer. Pour white vinegar over the garlic until they are partially immersed. Place the dish by your bed while you sleep and the garlic is said to turn pink "because of the negative energy it absorbs."

Bury the cloves in the morning, and repeat the next night.

Romani spell? Be careful on anything that says its a Romani spell. The Romani in the past 300 years have assimilated into their host countries rather well. Most of them are Christian, Muslim with some hints of Shaktism, in which they pray through a female connected to god like a Saint or the Virgin Mary. Most of the "gypsy" magic stuff is just made up by the general media.

I married a Romani girl about two weeks ago. She was really sweet, but got made fun of a lot for "gypsy" spells, even thou there is no such thing. As practitioners of magic, I think we need to kick away stereotypes like that.

Now on the topic of depression. Dream pillows work rather nice for depression. You should use the herb Rosemary in it, and that should help you out.

It really is sad to see such a vivid and unique culture fade. But yeah, I have a small collection of Romani spells that came from my great great great greaaaat grandmother. No, she wasn't some powerful gypsy woman (though that would be a great story), but she had a Romani friend who practiced the Craft and gave my grandmother a collection of spells before my grandmother left to come here to the US. I have seen the same spell for getting rid of depression in a newer book of Romani spells, though.

What is sad about the Romani is that there cultural traditions were destroyed because of persecution. There are very few ethnic groups that have been discriminated against like the Romani and the Roma subgroup. A lot of them were oppressed and killed for their beliefs.

Thank you for your ideas! I have tons of Rosemary, so I'll definitely try that.
Should I try the Garlic ritual? It sounds nice, but is Romani spells negative? I don't want anything bad to come back to me.

Nothing about Romani is negative, Guardian Wolf is simply saying that most things labeled as Romani spells aren't actually Romani spells. But it doesn't really matter where the ritual came from, it should still have the same outcome. :)

Twine is the book you got that up of have a red cover and named 'The Good Spell Book?' That's in a book I kidnapped from my mom, but I haven't used any of the spells yet. If it's the same book, several of the spells talk about the lord's prayer, what's up with that?

It really is a nice book! I can honestly say, I've only used it a few times, but if nothing more, it's beautiful to look at. I love all of the colors and it gives fun folklore to read. That I enjoyed very much. ^^

I haven't actually. I deal with depression very simply. I go outside. It cures me faster than any spell, just connecting with nature and tapping into it's life force. :)

That's the original reason I took the book from my mom, cause it's pretty, lol. I agree, nature really helps with depression.

This is great advice. This is also meditation. Sit and notice the moment. Breath and notice this. No need to stress yourself out of become overly attached to anything... but this cannot be taught directly. it must be experienced.

The devine light is always showering down above you, but it is your choice to let it shine through you or not.
All I know is I love you.
That's about all I can do.
