Dreamt of something that said a goddess name.

Postby Wishes » Sun Aug 15, 2010 2:07 pm

I had a dream this morning and it mentioned a goddess name. I can't fully remember it, but I think it was Anju. I'll explain what I can remember out of the dream if it may help.

I and my younger stepsister, were told to find a lost Indian tribe. We were able to find this tribe in a rocky area, that seemed to have no plants. We were right next to a cliff that if you jumped you would land in a river (And presumably die). We slowly managed to get accepted into their community, and we found out that there was only 3 tribes of their kind, but they did not know if their whereabouts. I could die and just appear back at my camp, so I told my stepsister to head back. The next day we went and although we couldn't understand their speech, we communicated through hand motions and symbolism. For example there was this girl that was amazingly BEAUTIFUL that something died (or similar along the lines). This tribe was AMAZINGLY tan! At dinner time, we were invited to eat and before hand they did this ceremony type thing. There was a holy book that NOBODY was allowed to touch. I presume in hid some dark secrets and also the whereabouts of the other 2 tribes of their kind. This blueish light shone on it and a fire in the background roared. There was 4 people wearing masks and wielding weapons on each side of the square this book rested on. The leader was offset speaking some ancient incantation I believe. Once the leader was done the 4 people swung their weapons around and it was dismissed. We could then eat. We sat around coals of a fire and picked what we wished it eat. There were orange halves that were cooked, meat, potatoes, and a few other vegetables that I could see. (this was where I told the women about something dying). Before any of the tribe ate they said "For the goddess ____ and the god". I then felt really warm and said the same thing, before I started eating the orange, and to be honest, it was really good. Just then the leader sat on the other side of the coals and spoke to my stepsister saying that one day, she too would be tending the food on the clothes. I got this shocked look on my face and then I woke up.

I want to say the goddess was Anju, but I am unsure. Would that fit in any way whatsoever with my dream?

Sorry it was such a long post

I would like to start off by saying, I know nothing of your dream. But I do have some comments.
We were right next to a cliff that if you jumped you would land in a river (And presumably die).
This made me laugh.

And as far as the rest of the dream goes, it reminds me of an episode of Buffy wear she jumps into portal, after finding the box that was supposed to be passed from Slayer to Slayer over the years and they open it to find shadow puppets things. It opens a portal, Buffy jumps in and ends up in a very similar place, with three people who were the original creators of the Slayer. They're dark complected and have sticks and this is when you learn that the reason the Slayer has all this power is because they have demon energy within them, blah blah blah.

Just thought I'd share this useless piece of information.

As far as your dream goes, I would reckon it has to do with a previous life. Did you ever get a look at yourself? Were you the same skin tone as you are now? Same clothing? Anything like this. The same can be said for your step-sister. Did she look like she does now, or different, but easily recognized?

If it helps any, Anju is a Hindu girl name, meaning 'one who lives in the heart'

I don't recall seeing myself, nor my step-sister for that matter...

I just felt like I kind of knew who they were.

I'm still puzzled as to what this means, it said goddess which is what really made me wonder. I'll have to look into it more.

You could do a trance for recalling more of your dream and the exact name. But even when it's Anju, you should probably know more about what it means to you and not only the origin.

My attempt would be to get a look at this book, that no one should touch. I mean, what is in this book? What secrets does it hold? Ask the tribe, who is allowed to have a look in this book or who knows more about it. Do you have to worship Anju first? If yes, what does this include?

You might want to check out Yemaja.
She's a Yoruban Goddess known by many names.
Some of which are similar to Anju.

I looked her up, and saw a picture of her on wikipedia. It makes me wonder, because the lady I talked to was a little lighter skinned then the picture they show, but she had the dark hair and the gold band crown thing. It's odd because of I talked to the woman and she cried I looked away and said the saying they all said, because I just felt warm and welcomed like it was the right thing to do at the time.

I will try to do a meditation on the book and see if I can find anything out that way, I'm not very good at meditation though ><

I would also like to find out who she was and why she was crying. This could be really important in addition to the book.

Kind of like that Twine.

The skin tone matches, and the water aspect does match with the river.

She was wearing a headband similar to this one (though I don't recall a star) and she had an outfit that was similar to this, but different in a way that I can't explain. She really made me feel, good, but I felt sad when she started crying.

Anyways, here is the pic wikipedia showed me Image

Could she be your Spirit Guide?
My friend describe Guides as wearing clothing that looks like mist or smoke, but it actually hangs and looks like fabric.

I'm not sure, I have never been in contact with any of my spirit guides.

I had a black dream last night, but I heard her voice and she said something like "Our father should not be disrespected like that."

I'm not sure what it means, maybe next full moon I will try to get in contact?

The meditation last night wasn't of any help, I'm going to try again tonight.

See, this makes me think that perhaps it was a God you were praying to. Originally when I saw Anju, I thought Aganju, another Yoruban God. He is associated with rivers, as well.

You can check him out here and here.

It just seems like the woman is there to guide you and show you the God and Goddess, if you allow. I'm not saying she couldn't be a Goddess, but it seems more like she is a follower or a servant and is trying to "show you the light" you could say.

Obviously I wasn't there, so it's sorta difficult to tell exactly how she acted and what she looked like, as you could imagine. XD

Do you have a specific way you intend to do this?
Scrying, meditation,etc.

Hmm, well that is possible. I've never even heard of the God

I was thinking of through meditation, or possibly dreams. I have never tried scrying, but I think I may look into that.

I'm also going to look at Aganju a little more, since the lady was saying "Our father".

Wish me luck! :)
