I know I ask a lot around here, but your answers helps me a lot, I have heard that if it helps on meditation you can listen music, I do that, and I create my own world in my mind, like a meditation only I create the enviroment, is this considered meditation or not? because I really put a lot of effort on this.

Anything can be considered meditation.
It is simply how aware of the present moment you are.

Though, music can actually become a distraction once your awareness progresses.
It is not a problem per say, but there are times when a troubled mind needs silence,
needs to be "alone" to experience the peace of the self that is deep inside.

But again, music can be a great stimulation of the inner self.
Dance and be free my friend.

Love you.
All I know is I love you.
That's about all I can do.

I'm taking a meditation class right now. They tell us to avoid all outside distraction and noise. I think there's different types of meditation though and music can be helpful sometimes. I find I like to play background music during meditation sometimes, but other times it's better to be in complete silence.

When I was at yoga class more than 1,5 year ago, we did a meditation with a background music, very calming and we had to focus on a color changing light in the middle of the room. That was supposed to stay awake and not fall into sleep, and there was said that after a while the other light in the room seemed to become darker around the light and that dark left your eyesight when you were looking away or blinking with your eyes. It was like a lot of light, pushed down to the source, so you could see the source very sharp.

what my point is, is that a lot is possible and there are many variations. and if you feel comfortable with music on the background, than do so. For people with concentrating or attention problems, music on the background could be useful.

Well, don't take it from me because you can only remove doubt through direct experience,
but you can only learn through direct experience!
Meditation is cultivating this spiritual experience through the calm awareness that lies within each of us.
Nothing less and nothing more. This can be done at any time during our wakeful state.

Practice is the most important part though.
Love.
All I know is I love you.
That's about all I can do.
