Hi!

I love questions like this. I especially love that you're looking for a valid way to worship them. (Notice I didn't say the right way. You'll get alot of "whatever feels right!", but honestly the Gods have traditions and expectations. Rome wasn't a free for all with religion, it was a complexly developed culture.) You probably won't need much in way of supplies...Ancient Greece wasn't about magic and tools. It was a way of life and a belief system, not necessarily a practice, though of course there were those priests and priestesses devoted to the temples of certain gods.

I suggest looking into Hellenic Polythesist Reconstructionism and definitely reading the myths and history of Greece.

http://www.hellenion.org/Worship.html
The Gods we worship write their names on our faces; be sure of that. A person will worship something, have no doubt about that. We may think our tribute is paid in secret in the dark recesses of our hearts, but it will out. That which dominates our imaginations and our thoughts will determine our lives, and our character. Therefore, it behooves us to be careful what we worship, for what we are worshipping we are becoming.

- Ralph Waldo Emerson

As believers in the folk-religion we are studying, we seek after mysteries that expand the scope of our gods and our understanding of them, not reductionist theories that reduce them to manageable and socially productive "functions".

Deities have animals they favor, and herbs, or other objects.
for example Aphrodite likes doves, the sea (she was born from the foam), and roses. you could decorate your altar accordingly.
Olive twigs and laurel can be used to decorate the altar generally speaking.

I practice a Eclectic Pagan (Ive been corrected many a time...) style of Paganism. I kind of mixed Hellenism with Wicca. I am not Wicca, but I follow some of their conseps. For example, I worship two Deities; Apollow and Artemis. I worship those two mainly, but I believe in all the Greek Gods and Goddesses, and give them thanks and praise occasionally, too. When I worship, I useually do what Witch13 said. I decorate my Altar with things the God and Goddess likes. For example, I have a cresent moon charm for Artems next to my Goddess candle, and I have a sun charm with my God candle. I have a poem of Apollo folded up specially and sealed with wax from my God candle. For Artemis, I found a little toy-like arrow and painted it silver.

Also one could make an arrow made of a laurel twig (just a pointy end will do) to represent both as Artemis is the huntress usually carrying a bow and Apollo's favorite herb is laurel which was used at the Pythian oracle to divine!
My opinion is that greek wicca has grasped the meaning of worshipping her deities with the simple things ;)
Personally i prefer to use seasonal decorations, for example mistletoe and pinecones for winter etc etc!
