Can't sleep, they keep me up

Postby ikaba » Wed Jan 19, 2011 2:56 pm

This may sound a lil' odd, or not, but I can't sleep because of vibrations and touching. My forehead starts vibrating and it feels a bit uncomfortable, at least when trying to SLEEP. And that's not it; the back of my head and neck get all stiff like I usually do when there is a strong presence of a spirit (human or not). I don't mind them in that sense but I just wanna get some sleep without someone constantly poking me our touching me (yeah, they tend to do that) or show me stuff.

I've been able to sense spirits and stuff since earlier but lately it's just gotten a lot more intense and it's always at night when I'm trying to sleep. Ive tried clearing the room using candles, incense and some meditation to clear my mind before sleep. It helps but instead I wake up super early.

Advice would be more than welcome at this point.

Try shielding, there's a post on it somewhere. I dont know if it will work, because I just thought of it, but you could try opening yourself up to them and seeing what it is they want. You may lose a night of sleep but at least you might be spared the rest of the years,
Your head is humming and it won't go, in case you don't know,
The piper's calling you to join him,
Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow, and did you know
Your stairway lies on the whispering wind.

I remember there was once a time whenever I closed my eyes to go to sleep it was like I was floating in the sea sorta, waves and all. My teachers have said it was a good thing and to let it be, but if you're uncomfortable I guess that is bad, so no idea about that.

After 'messing around' with a friend's supposedly haunted house, that night each time I got closer to sleep, someone was tapping on my bed just below my foot, but not touching. The first four times I thought it was just me, but each time I drifted off I woke up with the tapping and finally I just did what my dad (another practitioner) told me. Say out loud: "Leave me alone, don't disturb me" not harshly, but not too kindly as if you're bowing before them or something.

As I was still a kid, I decided to be safe with a "Please let me sleep, it's 12 midnight and I need to go to school." in a tired voice. I slept like a baby. But it could have been it didn't touch me because I was wearing a protective talisman. I'd first try sending a prayer for protection for a deity or someone close to you beyond the grave like a parent, etc before the 'leave me alone' request, just to be safe & if you're unsure whether the spirit would react in a more negative way.

Me I've never had ghost experiences much unless I'm 'doing' stuff, I view it like they're attracted to you because you're doing 'stuff' which other ppl don't do normally. Over here 12 midnight or 12-3 at night are the 'demons' time, the daytime being naturally more of the Gods. My dad can talk to spirits and whenever a not-so-nice spirit demands something, they try to scare him exactly at 12. He wakes up & just feels the spirit's around and immediately he sees its 12.

I'm always warned not to meditate at night but I suppose if they leave you alone, I guess it's different for everyone.

I know it's been a while since you asked, but I never noticed your post until AmethystQuartz replied, so sorry if this is late & unhelpful at all now *bow*

Thanks for the advice guys. It has eased up now a bit. I usually call out for my guardian when I feel the presence of something more ill natured, restless or just imposing when I don't want it. Normally they're not like good or bad, they just are. And I've grown used to it by now. I guess there are times when someone REALLY needs my attention so if I give it, they usually calm down a lot. I'm still getting the hang of things but I keep good faith in learning through intuition.

And James, I tend to tell em out loud to back off sometimes too. But unfortunately some are just really in need of having something said. It's like having someone shouting in my ear, lol. Anyway. I can finally sleep again and I hope to keep it that way :)
