Dreaming Memories

I had a dream a few nights ago that was actually something from my past(in this current life) I know for a fact it happened because when i asked my mother about it she said she remembered it. I didn't keep a dream journal at the time and when i awoke i could remember details down to what i was wearing. Do these types of dreams mean anything? If so what?

Was it an emotional dream? Or just like a film? Was this memory hurtful or intense?

Surely this moment has a special place in your life, if it was surprising, positive, happy, sad or hurtful. If it was a negative memory, maybe your subconcioussnes worked it through. If it was a happy memory, maybe your subconcioussnes tried to give you a bit more happy emotions. If you were surprised, maybe something triggered surprise in your life. But sometimes those things are pure randomness ^^
