Unsure

So, as I said before in another post, I have been involved with a guy for several years. We recently dated on and off but ever since we broke up I had nightmares of him cheating, of the other girl I knew he had been with. He always just got upset when I mentioned the dreams, so I stopped saying anything. We'd been dating for the past nine months and the dreams hardly ever stopped. I told myself I trusted him and nothing was happening so they weren't happening every night but still occured. I recently discovered that he'd been cheating on me the entire time, so obviously my subconscious is much more in the know than I ever gave it credit for. However, my question is, why do you think I'm dreaming about him now? This happens whenever we aren't in each others' lives. He is in every single dream. They're not nightmares though, and they're not dreams where I try to get revenge. They're always dreams where he wants me back and all I can feel is peace and content. Any ideas?
