I have a bit of a philisophical problem.
I find there are several Gods or Goddesses I find to be roughly equivalent to eachother. Isis-Cybele-Rhea is my mother Goddess, Zeus-Sabazios-Jupiter is my father God, the love Goddess of the evening star, Aphrodite-Inanna-Astarte, etc... How would you handle such a situation in worshipping?
*I'm asking you to take my equivalences as a given here, to avoid derailing the discussion. I know there are many of you who would disagree.
Would you advocate choosing one out of the section (ie. choose either Isis, Cybele, or Rhea) based on their differences?
Would you advocate worshipping them all as one, ie. "The Mother Goddess, Isis-Rhea-Cybele"?
Would you advocate some other way?
I have been struggling with this issue for some time and would appreciate your thoughts on the matter.
How do you work with archetypes?

I'm not exactly sure what kind of answer you are looking for but here we go.
I see them all as one in the same just the same energy being known by different names from different lands. If I were to be in someone else circle calling upon a deity by a name that I am not accustomed to I would look for that deities similarities to one of my own and "see" that deity as such in my mind.

Hmm... I'd just see them as the core archetype, like earth mother or divine matron. She can wear the faces of the others, but as her core nature she is a singular archetype. She then takes on the form or shape most easily recognized in your head as being that archetype. Tell me if that is too confusing. :3

I agree with the others, worship them all under their archetype of grand mother and call out their names, perhaps chant to them to still visualise them seperatly.

Re: How do you work with archetypes?
The problem with that is they are not easy to categorize. For example, would Isis be in the same category as Hekate for being Goddess of magic? Or would she be with the Aphrodite-Inanna archetype because she has a consort who must be returned from death? It's simply not that clear cut

Personally, Isis would find in with Mother and matron goddesses because she has so many associations. Almost like Ishtar. Its just about how you feel when you connect to them. For me Sekhmet felt very similar to Morrigan.
