In Touch with the God?
In Touch with the God?
This might sound a bit odd, but I'm having some trouble getting in touch with the God. I feel that I can and have connected meaningfully with the Goddess (usually Rhiannon or Athena) and many of the rituals I have been shown/have found/have created work with getting in touch with the Goddess; it seems that a lot of people in our culture have trouble connecting with Her. Any advice for getting in touch with the God? I've tried focusing on Him, but it always fades into the Goddess.

For there the mystical brotherhood
Of sun and moon and hollow and wood
And river and stream work out their will.

Try on doing some protective magik with him as your insperation. See him as a father (Kind of like the christan god but without the punishing nature.)
( For me atleast)
The Goddess helps us understand our Lord and the God helps use understand our Lady.... so ask The Goddess for guidence in your need to know her other half.

Cheap Shot JB lol. Remember all gods are facets of the main god and goddess. Just dont think of him as a person, think of him in his most basic concepts. Men, the sun, the air, yin and yang etc. Also try and get to know him in some of his other guises. Personally I had the same problem then I researched more of his forms and I found a diety which fit my view of him perfectly and it allowed me to identify with him much better.

Not everyone believes that all gods are aspects of one god and all goddesses are aspects of one goddess. Many pagan religions are hard polytheistic- believing that each and every deity is an independently-existing entity. If you believe in the gods being aspects of one, and goddesses likewise, that's fine, but don't assume that everyone else does.(Kind of like the christan god but without the punishing nature.)

It might be worth firstly acknowledging that maybe in this point in your life, your connection with the Goddess is adequate to what you are learning, and it might not be necessary to have an 'equal connection' to both at this time.
Also consider your approaches. In some cultures the God is associated with the Moon (like in my own, to me the God is nothing like the Sun in temperament, and I believe in a Solar Goddess). You can consider - if you love forests and animals - connecting with Gods like Frey, Herne, Pan, Dionysus - forest gods who respect nature.
You can consider looking at why you might be having difficulties with the God. It could be misconceptions on your part, for example, or it could be the way you're approaching it.
