So, in my studies, I have encountered the Goddess several times. Usually, some weird coincidence happens and I just get the feeling that it's her. I don't know who, just that the Goddess reached out to me.
But, I had an experience last night that I need help with. I just about to go to bed, as I was reading "Wicca: A guide to the solitary practitioner" and I started freaking out about how I will need to tell my parents, and how I'm not sure how they will feel. Knowing my interactions with her, I called on the Goddess to help me.
All of a sudden, I felt a tingling rush all over my body, and I felt calm and heavier. I heard a woman's voice say "Shh... Shh... Everything will be alright... Everything is okay..." She told me a good way to tell them, and then I got a vision. I was in space, and I could see Earth in the background. And I was being cradled like a baby by this giant young woman. She had very pale skin, and jet black hair. She was also wearing this beautiful white gown. And she looked at me so tenderly, like she was my mother. I said "I'm okay now," and her presence faded. I went to sleep soon after that.
So, who is this woman? What goddess does she represent? How do I find out, and continue working with her?
Who comforted me?

WOW! Awesome experience Sub!
I'm not sure who is that Goddess since just about every Goddess in different cultures has been depicted wearing white gowns or robes such as Guanyin, East Asian Goddess of Compassion and Mercy, Leukothea (White Goddess), sea Goddess who aid sailors in distress, Saraswati, a Hindu goddess of knowledge, music, arts and nature, Yemaya, Yoruban Mother Goddess and the Moon deities like Artemis and Diana.
I think the best thing to do is just ask Her the next time She communicates with you. Though, asking questions during meditation may not result in quick answers that you can see or hear; there are many forms of perception, and on an astral or spiritual level information can come in many forms.
Exploring and perceiving spiritual or magickal reality, in my experience, involves a different set of senses. The most clear and profound perceptions, for me, occur in a way that is difficult to describe; words are insufficient.
However, if you're going to try to contact her (if you haven't tried it yet), you should ensure that your space is well protected so that other mischievous spirits and entities will not get a chance to deceive and fool you. Entered your protected space only with the intent to observe, and do your best to carry no expectations with yourself other than the expectation that you would learn something from her. The descriptions can be made later; while you're exploring spiritual reality, words just get in the way of the experience.
As you continue to explore, I'm sure your Goddess will reveal herself to you.
I hope you'll continue to share your experiences with us here, Sub. Pretty exciting stuff!

Re: Who comforted me?
Okay, so She's given me a few more visions to help me figure out who she is, and I'm either reading too much into them, or She's really clever.
So, the first thing I got after I asked was "The first commercial you'll see will give you a clue." And the commercial I saw was about peaches. So, I was searching for a goddess with the peach as a symbol, but it wasn't leading me right. But then, I considered if the Goddess was somewhere in space, like if she's named after a star or something. Then it hit me: Venus. Peaches are an aphrodisiac. I was wondering why she was so clever with me, but I thought that this revealing of herself is very intellectual and required me to use my brain. Which is exactly what I would want in a relationship.
Just now, I'm also considering Hathor. She's also a goddess of love, associated with the Milky Way, and looks more like her.
So, I think this is going well. The first time She presented me with parental love, and now She's playing games with me. Which I don't mind at all.

You seem to be on a great track with this. While I did do some studying, I decided to take a more personal route and allow everything to come to me (which it did, almost like this. Haha.). I'm very glad you're feeling so in touch with this, and I hope it will keep going well for you! (:

Are you keeping a journal? I found that to be particularly helpful -- still do, actually. Keep them near your bed at night so if you have a significant dream or visions like that you can just jot it down quickly .
I don't go back over what I've written (or maybe drawn) very often, but when I do I find it to be beneficial. Reading through a series of entries and seeing them as a whole often brings greater insight.

Re: Who comforted me?
About a year ago, I was coming back from where I had to have some nerve work done on my shoulder, and I started to feel REALLY bad. I thought that maybe I sould stay at the doctor's office? No, I decided to drive home, over twenty miles on back roads. I'm fifteen miles from home when I'm REALLY starting to feel a tighness in my chest, and I heard Her..."Be you all right, be calm. Be fine. Be I take care of you". And She started using Her energy to stabilize me. She did this all the way home, and before I got home, She told me to take three aspirin, two valarian caps and two glasses of COLD water, then lay down. After a couple hours, I felt fine.
Also, my mom had passed away last year. I did'nt know what my grief would be like! This was before She came to me.....She knew that mom was passing, and She eased me through the grief, even to the point of where mom's last words to me were something very happy. One morning, "Desire", as She prefers to be called, was quiet. I knew they were cremating mom. She told me later that She was in there with mom, watching over her. She knows how I hate fire, and She put Herself in the oven to be the "boundry" that I could'nt go past and freak out over. I love Desire a lot.
