Best Stones I Have Used Yet for Menses

Postby lithe_forager » Tue Sep 23, 2014 10:40 am

So I have horrible, miserable cycles. The pain is so bad the doctors gave me a prescription for heavy pain meds and usually ALWAYS have to take them, but yesterday I didn't!! I felt the red flood coming and I wore my unakite around my neck and put hematite in one pocket and amethyst in the other. Pain was mild, I felt like I had a lot of energy, even cleaned the whole apartment!!! I felt like there was a balanced triangle of energy holding me together. Emotions wise: super confident, but still getting offended and sensitive to my boyfriends energy. Still major progress into helping my moon time issues!

Amethyst, jade, kunzite, and moonstone are really great as well as rose quartz. These all are very helpful for PMS and menstrual pain. Bloodstone is also very helpful for irregular menstrual flow and blood clotting. Chrysocolla is also very useful to help with menstrual pain and PMS. I personally love to wear any jewelry that is made with any of those whenever i have my period because I also deal with chronic menstrual pain, but I have a natural alternative that I am prescribed and I use my stones. I hope they work for u as well as they do for me.

Hey, I have periods that bad too. I had rocky mountain spotted fever that somehow didn't get diagnosed and went chronic for ten years, and when on antibiotics for it I had to go to the ER more than once for menstrual pain and also full-body pain. Besides the obvious heavy duty painkillers, I found that five hot water bottles made it somewhat more bearable: one on the feet, one on my tummy, one beneath both arms, and one on my lower back, while reclining. Epsom salt footbaths are helpful as well

I also found that black tea with brown sugar three times a day in the month leading up to the period made it slightly more tolerable. 2 vitex pills per day in the two weeks before my period starts makes PMS better, and lastly Myomin pills lower estrogen and make the whole damn cycle not as lousy (you take 2 to 3 per meal daily). I am still researching herbal remedies and will let you know if I find something that really, really works... my latest experiment is adding raspberries to the sweet tea.

I can't believe your doctor gives you heavy duty painkillers. I had to go to the emergency room to get norco because my doctor looked at me like I had two heads when I said my pain was that bad and in essence told me to shut up and get on birth control. Right now I am taking 8-12 ibuprofen per day in order to function. I really hate doctors.

Mood wise, pink Himalayan salt (esp salt lamps) help when I'm PMSing.

Overall, I find moonstone to be a stone that really vibes with me. It makes me feel empowered almost. Idk, it's hard to explain!
