First off, Cheers! Welcome to the forum.
Start by researching and finding books that suit the path your are interested in and learn the basics. Then its all about how you would like to follow that path. There is a lot of useful threads here and many knowledgeable people to help if you have any specific questions. The book I generally reccommend for Wiccan beginners is "Wicca: A Year and a Day" by Timothy Rodrick. Good Luck!

Re: Seeking Guidance
Hi Karen. Everything you said makes sense. It just doesn't make sense to muggles. I learned, very early, not to talk about everything that I saw. It was just easier that way. Welcome to the forum.

Re: Seeking Guidance
I think you answered it yourself when you said you wanted to start a book of shadows. What better place is there?
You'll soon find information that you want to include and also information that you don't want to include. It helps carve the path for you. I would say question everything and don't blindly follow. If when you've questioned something you still agree with it then its pretty safe to say you believe it

Re: Seeking Guidance
Merry Meet Karen! The things you have shared are far from strange to us. I as well have been told things by complete strangers. I am also empath and being so can be a blessing and a curse sometimes, per se. There is tons of information here on the forums as well as in books. One I recommend is Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner by Scott Cunningham. Also by simply meditating and allowing the universe to guide you, ask for signs to help guide you. I hope all of what has been stated here will help you in your path. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Blessed Be.

Welcome to the forum Karen.
You can find out more information on Books of Shadows in the WITCHCRAFT & WICCA 101: TABLE OF CONTENTS thread, or you can peep into the Books of other members in the Member's Books of Shadows section. Happy reading.

Re: Seeking Guidance
Hi Karen,
One thing that I would highly recommend is meditation. Even going for something like structured Buddhist meditation is a really good idea - so long as you can find a method and place that doesn't push a dogma on you too heavily which you don't agree with. I have found Vipassana meditation to be extremely helpful and have done some serious retreats over the years. I think this kind of thing can do wonders to strengthen and focus one's "powers" - and has also given affirmation that it isn't all just "in my head."
Blessings and best of luck.

Re: Seeking Guidance
Hello, I am new as well but welcome still! I also dreamt things as a child that came true. I believe I am also empath however I have never seen auras. I am also here to find answers and guidance. Hope we both find what we need!
