So I'm getting married later this year, and my fiancé and I were planning on traveling to Greece and Turkey for our honeymoon. We realized, though, that midsummer was going to fall on the last day of our trip, and as neither of us wanted to spend that day on traveling on an airplane, we've decided to add on a few days to the trip for a brief stop in England to visit Stonehenge on the solstice. This has always been a fantasy of mine, and I'm excited beyond description.
I was wondering if any of you have been to the summer solstice festivities at Stonehenge. If so, what can I expect, what are some things that I should know beforehand, et cetera?

I've never been, so I don't have any advice to give, but wow! This sounds like an amazing experience, you're very lucky.

Oh, I actually ended up not going; due to a commitment I had to be back from my trip before the Solstice. Greece and Turkey were amazing though. Going to stonehenge for the solstice is still on my bucket list, so we'll see what the future holds.

Oh too bad, but you'll be back!
As much as I'm terrified to fly, Stonehenge and New Grange are on mine as is Chalice Well.
Heck, there is a bunch of places over there that would be a blast to explore.
