Period synched to new moon, is the Goddess giving me a hint?

I'm not sure where to post this, so sorry if this isn't the right board. For the last 3 months my period has very specifically synchronized itself with the new moon. When it started I wasn't due for a cycle for another week and a half but I got my period right on the new moon. It happened the next month again, I was due the week after the new moon but lo and behold I got it right on the new moon.

Has anyone experienced something like this? I feel like I'm being sent a message but I'm not getting what it means? I'm pretty sure it's a message from the Goddess since my period and the moon are involved.

When I still had my moontime, I found I could stay well in-sync with the moon if I could spend a good amount of time basking in the glow of her light. I made sure of that by sleeping in the tree-house for as many months out of the year that I could. The other thing that is a great benefit of bleeding at the dark moon is about 14 days later it is the full moon and your fertile time...so beware! unless that is the goal of course A good way of tracking any ones fertile time is about 14 days from the day of the start of your period.
On a spiritual level, I found it an interesting Persephone sort of monthly journey, with the first few days like a death, (ha more from pain than anything) corresponding with the underworld downtime, of feeling so crappy, and crabby, however I found meditation, contemplation and creativity much more heighted at this time. Followed by this energetic renewal and flowering forth sort of attitude, also the few days of incredible energy in that span of 7 or so days following my period. This would be the only time in the month where I felt normal. then Wham...mittelschmerz (pain the middle of the month, associated with ovulation) and the journey through the fertile time with pain as reminder of the impending down time to come. Not everyone gets mittelschmerz or gets pms of the severity I was gifted with, but once I embraced the process, the less I hurt and the more empowering that time became.
Is there a Goddess that calls you to work with her during your Moon?

Wow that energetic creative experience you're describing is what I feel once my flow is finished. I'm going through a creative spurt right now. I'm starting to wonder if it's synched as the Goddess' way of helping me through all the creative work I'm having to do lately, so far it's not only corresponded with the new moon but also the increase in work load at work and on my side projects.

I'm not planning on having little ones any time soon, so I'll be wary of the fertility implications!

I've identified that the Goddess always calls on me as Isis, unfortunately I have little access to the moon this time of year due to the cold and the fact that I'm in a basement apartment.

Yeah the creative part was something I would look forward to every month. It was a great time to go within my head and plot or plan a new project. Being in so much pain kinda took the body to this other level, where it was easier to slip into a trance or heavy meditation. Course I spent an awful lot of time sleeping in the first couple days of my cycle also, and usually missed work or school 2 days a month. But after the crazy pain it was time to break out the clay or the paints
What is your creative project this month? There was a good art thread awhile back that helped to draw out the creative forces
( oops, ha ha was that a pun?) Anyway I'll look for it if you are interested.
wow a basement aparment sounds dark, can you get to a roof or is there one of those small windows in your basement where you can get a view of the silvery goddess? Anyway gifts to Isis at that time will strengthen your bond with her. Ask that her light shine upon all your creative endeavors.
Another way to get seriously in tune with your moontime is to use washable sanitary products, yeah it's a mess but it helps one honor herself as well as the earth...less gunk int he trash eh? The rinse water can be used on plants, they love it. Before you add the soap of course

Ha, mittelschmerz, until I read this post I never knew there was actually a word for this. Ugh, I've gone through some serious schmerz in my mittlel, lemme' tell ya'!

Interesting! I have some seriously heavy and painful periods. Funny you should mention re-usable sanitary products firebird, I'm already using a diva cup and re-usable pads. It really made me realize how disposable-oriented our society has become, so it made me start using more re-usable products. I've replaced toilet paper, my pads and tampons, and paper towels for their re-usable counterparts and I couldn't be happier.

I don't have much access to the rest of the house, or the back yard so I'm restricted to my quick dip in the moonlight when the weather isn't minus 30 Celsius.
